My hats off to you Frank. Wow, what a collection. I never knew. Should I raise your limit to 2000 coins?
No 102??? Alas, the 106 "comet head" is only R-2. The R-5 rating in the 4th edition of Overton is a misprint. The 105 has 3 recognized die states...105 prime (no die cracks) is R-6; the base 105 R-5 has the crack at star 9, but no crack at the date and no reverse cracks; and your 105a. Mine is the 105 (and yes, it really is that dark).
You are right, I checked the BHNC listing and it is an R-2. I have to correct my computer. I don't like to show off my 102, it makes folks sad. That piece is REALLY dark!
