Coins crooked in holders

I know you buy the coin and not the holder.

Does a coin that is not properly lined up in the holder influence your purchase price? If so how much?

It might be the OCD part of me but to me it is like a flaw in the coin since it impacts my viewing pleasure. Most coins seem to have this issue with some very pronounced even ones with brand new holders.

Doesn't bother me at all, I just straighten them. Lots of threads on how to do that.

    Your title is backwards :p

And no, it doesn't bother me generally. I must ask though, what are your thoughts on rattlers?

I wonder how easy it is to straighten coins in the new edgeview holders?

Just start tapping them along the corners and edges and see what happens.

I don't mind all that much if the coin has rotated. I don't let it influence my thoughts on the price.
With many slabs you can get the coin to rotate back. Like SuperDave, I wonder about the new ones. I'll guess reeded edge coins won't move at all.

I don't like it but it doesn't change what I'd pay for the coin.

I love the irony of this one. image.jpg

It doesn't really bother me, but I just wonder how it happens.

Well I can see that with PCGS slabs, but not NGC slabs. I've received submissions back from both of them with some coins nearly upside down.

It was probably caused by the post office throwing your package around.

    Drives me nuts.

I don't care what the coin is -If it's turned in its holder, I wouldn't take it even if you offered it to me for free.

I find holders detrimental to my experience of a coin.;)
