Slowed down a bunch after that. I think all 50K got sold out and the coins have done better than the 2014 JFK but nowhere near as well as the 2009 UHR.

Interesting...I think the 1-time issue makes the premium hold up. I wonder if there were more women coin collectors if demand would be higher for the coin.

Right now with gold at $1,220/oz. the coin is still seeing demand at $1,500-plus. Active bidding on Ebay right above that level, MCM and APMEX willing to sell it for $1,600. So bidders are trying to save a few $$$ off the asking price.

No, it was available for all of 2009. Went on sale in January 2009 and I got mine from the Mint in December 2009.

My one problem with this coin and it may be a small one, but for $1,600 gold coin and being a High Relief Proof gold coin it came in a basic UNC ASE mint box. Yet the First Spouse coins, Buffalos, and 3/4 oz Gold Kennedy get the fancy wooden box and display.

Are you talking the 2015 Liberty High Relief ?

The 2009 ULTRA High Relief (not just High Relief) came in a nice laminated wood box/display.

Not sure whose box you were unhappy with.

Yeah, that is pretty cheap....what you get the Silver Eagles and Commemoratives (Disabled Vets, etc.) in. Even the Buffalo has a nice leathery box. Surprised they went cheap, but maybe they lost money on the JFK fiasco and had to cut corners.
