@BooksB4Coins, I remember that thread and it was the reason I replied earlier in the thread. I tried to be constructive. I had to bite my tongue though. His cousin came in "guns a blazin'" too. IMO, he wasn't "nice" as the OP claims.

I don't think he was treated unfairly, but when you're young, it's hard to see things from anyone else's perspective.

Wow, just read the thread of the two of them go at Green... that was painful to read...

 

Curiosity is killing me. What was the spat with Green? I have shared threads with him mainly on a different forum. I have always known him to be a very decent knowledgable man.

 

@leaconcen, my experience of @green18's contribution was a sarcastic comment that Maxim waaaayyyy over dramatized. Green apologized, but that didn't help.

It got worse from there.

I'm really thankful that we no longer have a military draft in the US. God help us if we had to rely on brats like him. If I were his cousin, I'd deny any relationship.

I remember those threads and they were a bunch of bull hockey. To the op. A little growing up and humility would go a long way. Then you might get accepted a lot more here not trying to be mean just calling like it is

I believe I actually had roles for Mr Mercury and Maxim backwards. After revisiting some of the threads, I believe it was Maxim who came to Mr Mercury's defense.

After that whole ordeal, I didn't waste anymore mental energy on it. Wasn't until this thread that I thought about these two youngsters again.
