Ok now you're just being plain crazy. I guess I did misunderstand so allow me a proper retort... Really!? You chose one of many options for payment and it's the post office that lost your stamped envelope without tracking. This is in no way JMB's fault period. As for the check just go to your bank and cancel it. Easy. Seems like your just wondering why they don't take routing numbers. I'm not sure bUT hey the answer is only a phone call away
Why? They hold absolutely NO liability here. Your anger is misplaced. You sent a stamped letter during the holiday crunch and unfortunately it was lost. And like I said, jmb did you a huge favor by not charging you their fees for not receiving payment. Come on man how can you not see this
With that $35 charge how much did you save by not using PayPal? JMB doesn't owe you one cent. You owe JMB an apology.
What I don't understand is the number of CT members that use JMB with no problems. They like the various payment options, are willing to wait for their purchase even though they think it takes too long to ship and say the prices are good, especially the over spot price, which is really low and you feel it's there fault? You complain about a $35.00 charge to cancel a check. If you're so concerned about a check why did you use one? Let me guess, to get the lower pricing. You put the check in an envelop with a $.49 stamp with peak mail volume and it's JMB's fault? Why didn't you pay a little bit extra so that concerned check could be tracked? Why didn't you just choose another payment option? You had the choice and you chose what you did, it didn't work out and it's everybody's fault but yours. Wise up, admit your mistake and move on. If you decide not to accept our word and comments on our experiences with JMB, fine, again, that's your decision. If you don't want to do business with them, fine, that's your choice but in the longer run, you'll be paying more for what you buy. JMB is easy to use, user friendly and has low over spot pricing. I can buy silver for $.95 or less over spot from them. All others charge $2.00 or more. Who's wasting their hard earned money now?
You are the one who must be joking. Did they put a gun to your head and tell you to order from their site via paper check? Give me a break every bullion retailer takes paper checks, however none of them force you to do it. Maybe you should have sent that check via bubble mailer so there was less of a chance it would get lost in the mail. JmBullion was very considerate to not charge you a cancellation fee which was well within their rights. Its in the terms of service agreement that you accept when placing an order!
they conduct business in a manner that creates risk to their customers. They have the option of taking routing numbers and account numbers - that works exactly like a check- instead they throw a huge rick on their customers.
2 problems here: 1 condition issue on products 2.they require paper check through USPS instead of taking routing/account numbers. It would cost them nothing to take routing/account numbers instead of paper check.
Really dude. I'm done with this thread. All I can say is grow up. If you don't like the services a company offers then go somewhere else. You were obviously ok with it up until the point the post office lost your stamped check during December.
they shaved a gram or so off a 10 oz bar- it was not worth returning- If I can figure out how i will post a pic
well one thing I did here is smoke out the shills that have infiltrated cointalk. Take note of any 2015 joins who spoke up for JMB
I have been a cointalk member since 1999- 16+ years- we have to start looking at how many years a member has been affiliated.
I joined in January 2015 and what of it? Sounds like sour grapes... It doesn't mean I'm a shill for JMB but I will tell you this from my own experience, all unsolicited... JMB were my first few buys after research shows they have the some of the best prices on silver bullion.. I have also bought from MCM before they changed hands... I buy from Provident as well until recently when their e-check option was down. I have bought from Monarch, SDBullion, APMEX, and many others. JMB does allow routing and bank numbers called e-check but only after you establish a couple of buys with them as it protects their business from fraud. I had an issue with a numi coin I bought from them, I took pictures and emailed them, they were very professional and sent me a shipping label to return the coin for replacement and I also got a $10.00 voucher for my trouble. I think people have a right to their opinion and where they shop and people also have a right to defend a company if they have been treated as fairly as I have. Again...I am unsolicited and just a customer like you, I wish I was paid for this. Sorry you feel that you were screwed.
