Hello everyone, I just starting collecting and realized I have a few 1969s and wanted to see if someone could give me their opinion. Not interested in selling either way. It's been loads of fun for me and my daughter. Just curious to the details you notice. Thanks and happy hunting! I also have 15-1970s/1971s too and sorry for my pics in advance.
Welcome to Cointalk I really don't see anything out of the ordinary. 1969S had a mintage of 544,375,000 so there are plenty of normal strikes.
As you know nice attractive examples like your's are seldom seen. There isn't much demand for them though.
Look closely at your 1970-S pennies. You might have a rare Small Date: http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/1970S1cSmAndLgDtCompare.htm https://www.cointalk.com/threads/small-or-large-date-1970-s-penny.270951/#post-2278166
Welcome to CT! In 1969 the mint started using a new master hub to make dies. That's why coins from then look so sharp. 1969 cents are very common and most collectors only save them if they are mint state.
I think he wants to know the same thing everyone else who's just starting out here wants to know, whether he's a millionaire. OK, @PalmCityJim, you're not a millionaire, so let's get that out of the way. But you do have some pretty cents, there. Just keep searching, and you'll see, this hobby indeed is heaps of fun.
