I don't agree with everything the man said, but:

"But this long run is a misleading guide to current affairs. In the long run we are all dead. Economists set themselves too easy, too useless a task, if in tempestuous seasons they can only tell us, that when the storm is long past, the ocean is flat again."

In the intermediate term -- up to twenty or thirty years -- gold can certainly languish, falling behind simple inflation. And in the long term (longer than that), equities as a class have always done better.

But this thread started with someone asking about waiting for silver below $15. That's essentially set us off on the foot of market timing.

Don't you think the equities markets are just a bit off kilter or out of whack with all the QE money that's been pumped into them?

My guess is some day you will regret that statement. And I will be here to remind you. :D

I'm considering doing the same when the stock market implodes, but that would make me as bad as he...so I'll settle for quiet satisfaction of knowing I put my faith in one of the correct arenas...just saying

The stock market will correct, there is not too much doubt about that, so, not even sure what you are talking about. What, are you going to say I told you so for something that is as obvious as it will rain someday?

How so, it is pretty much a fact that the big banks have nothing to do with silver being somewhat fairly priced now.

Fairly priced? Not that I am complaining, as I hope they succeed in pushing the price below ten, at which point I will again become a buyer.

Yes, I would say fairly priced. It is hanging around the cost of production, and demand has been flat for over ten years nows. Why are you so convinced the banks are pushing it lower. There is just no end game there for them. Also, silver may fall below $10 but the banks would have nothing to do with, it would just be a demand thing. I too would be a buyer then.

No, you wouldn't be a buyer, the least you could be is honest. You posted last year that you were a buyer under $16 and you didn't buy anything.

Can you point out that post, I have been pretty consistent that I thought a good entry point was in the $12-13 range. If I said it, I'll admit to it, but that doesn't sound like me.

I can't see post numbers in threads. Your comment is the 8th posting on page 2. "...I have talked about a new entry point and have stated it is below $20 for me...."

You are correct...... I was wrong.... Any chance any of the stacker crowd can return the love and admit what they were wrong about?

There may be some wrongs next week if investors panic out of Euros and send USD to the moon. It's going to be interesting to see how Greece plays out in markets.

Hey milkem2000 do you ever get tried of argue no point statements over and over you write day after day after day. Being you have no interest in PM's go find another place to argue. We all know you could careless and that the only interest you have with PM's is argue people that want or stack PM's

Hmmm, seems a bit rude to me, didn't you just start a thread how people are so rude and call you names? Now you are telling me to leave the forum just because I strongly disagree with the philosophy of the stacker crowd. Please remember, I have no issue with Bullion Investing (which is the name of the forum), it is the stacker mentality that I feel is just doomed for failure . When, the name of the forum is changed to "The Silver Cheerleaders", I promise, I will stay away.

I am telling people to hold out for lower prices over all but sure buy Silver a pound or so a month its good to do period not a cheerleader over here.

Nobody know if you are or are not a stacker/investor of Silver bud. You may like to think nobody thinks you are but really who would know for sure.

Stacker and Investor are the same thing one holds long term more often then not or passes it to the younger part of the Family depends when one gets involved and the other side so to speak investor day week month stacker sells out from day to week to month does not make one bit of difference Investor/Stacker only the Mods here will say no Stacker word its not a bad word and not a wrong word for investing hog wash.

Why in the world now is stacker not allowed to be said on the site stacking silver putting it in a locker box or boxes is no different then Paper Silver holdings and in fact safer and for sure you as a investor own it as long as it is in Bars and Rounds and not Coins.

I am sure I will get a slapped on the wrist for say Stackers, it is the same as Investors even when they are not different just different time frames and maybe different mind set so what.

You argue plain and simple you fight more or less with me or anyone else that does not like or disagrees with you. Stay sure have a ball, leave if you ever decide you would like to argue somewhere else I do know and I do not pay much attention to you, a few members today will get my attention again have a day with that and work out your next argument but it will end here and now with me today.

I see investor being ready to sell on a set gain where a stacker will continue to stack and have a more difficult time getting that itch to sell.

What is it with your obsession with converting stackers to what you obviously consider to be the righteous way of investing? Do you really care so much for your fellow man that you have made it your mission in life to convert everyone to your way of thinking? Get a grip OM.

When did arguing one side of an issue get elevated to having a "mission in life to convert everyone"?

Sometimes I think everyone's expectations would be clearer if we simply renamed this forum to "Drama".

Why argue? You think what you think and I think what I think. Leave it at that. Drama is for actors.
