Get it fast if you want it, this is a limited quantity event. (they are losing money on this deal, so it probably won't last long!)

I agree with profit man, I actually see this as a high-risk negative -- the company's apparently so desperate for quick cash that they're losing money (purposely, and unnecessarily) on every "deal" to fund payrolls or current bills.

The other alternative, that for some reason they believe PM's are about to plunge and are trying to reduce inventory. Something too good to be true here...

Add you said they could be hurting . If they wernt silver town and the design. Id be tempted. To bad i can't buy them and smelt them into a 20oz bar lol

Yes, then you would be safe with a 20 ounce bar, virtually illiquid, virtually impossible to sell when the Crunch comes, with 1% as many potential buyers as for silver dimes or quarters...

Guess its just me. Im just not a fan of silver towne. So much so, id rather melt down their product and have a no name no stamped bar. Hah

EDIT: I love buying silver at spot or close to it. Who doesn't?
Just the idea that these are what they are, there's not much appeal for them. At least from what i've seen. Maybe you have a better group of friends that are more diversified in their collections.

Ether way, it's a good find, and thank you for the information.

You are over thinking it, they do deals like this to try and lure customers who would of never purchased from them otherwise.

Apmex has been doing occasional deals like this on Ebay for years now, are they out of business? Nope.

Sometimes losing money in the short run can be profitable in the long run.

In any case you are protected by Ebay buyer protection if you are actually worried, but you have nothing to worry about anyhow.

I just have heard, read, seen fake silvertowne bars. They make me uneasy if you know what I mean. Call me paranoid if you must.

There are fakes of everything, there are fake silver eagles, fake sunshine rounds bars, there are fake 90% old U.S., every somewhat popular round or coin has fakes made of it.

In this case you are buying directly from the mint so have no reason to be worried.

I do agree that its a boring looking round however, but I'm not buying it for the eye appeal, just buying it as .999 silver bullion from a well respected seller.

At it's current price, there really is no reason not to buy these. I'll consider it.

Since when is paying spot for generic silver too good to be true?

We have all heard the prepper tales about buying loaves of bread with silver dimes. Please. Some of us will be looking to buy real estate or some other asset with our investment if a "crunch" comes. Not loaves of bread. LOL. Please stop using scare tactics with no factual backing to tell people how to invest in PM's.

You think there's a high risk both Silvertowne and ebay are going under?

That would be about a 2.25% premium to spot, as of 2:34PM EST. That's pretty good, but I don't think I'll jump. If only that $25 off bullion coupon were still around...

I know that slowly and quietly accumulating 90% is the most RISK-FREE way to protect the buying power of your current assets and to maintain the greatest liquidity down the line. I'll pass on bars and rounds, thanks.

Oh, and Tulving used to be well-respected too. Then one day he blew up.
