How about Bullion UNC Details CLEANED
Good thing about the slab in this case is the grading company authentication.
Does the CLEANED label detract from the gold?
Because of the cleaning does that automatically disqualify a MS grade?

    Hmmm,

I had something witty to reply.
When I typed it out it sounded harsh.
Mpcusa is a good guy, he pads his post count a bit but visually is pretty good.

Does anybody really care about how many posts you have ? I am on here
to learn and give advice when appropriate and have fun :)

As far as the coin in question, for me
it doesn’t matter, GOLD is GOLD
the only thing that might change is
the premium, for example you will
get slightly more for US GOLD over
foreign equivalents but you pay more
to so it’s kind of a wash.

Yes graded bullion is not something I would intentionally buy but if its a better deal than normal I may buy as I like saving money! :shame: That said, there are some people who only buy slabbed coins and they don't care if it's bullion or Proof the reason why is a mystery! :D

Wow, wildly not bullion in the least. I have wanted one for a while.

For those who do not know the story, Saudi only wanted gold in payment for oil, but we stopped using gold coins. So, the mint had to special strike these in order to pay for oil from Saudi Arabia in the 1940s. Very cool story wrapped up in a coin/medal whatever you wish to call it.

I actually have changed my stance on this to a point, as long as your not paying a
super high premium a certified 70 will bring in more $$$ then a standard B/U
    coin.

Yes, resale profit is always a consideration for me and definitely one of my first thoughts when gold coin shopping! ;)

It’s all about premiums and value, and
what can be made off the coin once
resold, but again it all needs to make
    sense :)

Problem with buying slabbed PM and thinking its ok because I "will get the premium back". Let's assume that. Let's say you buy 10 ASE MS70's versus bulk coins. I will make these assumptions but the same logic applies:

    Silver value today: $20
    ASE Premium: $5
    MS70 ASE Premium: $30

So you buy a regular ASE for $25, and a MS70 for $50. The argument is if silver doubles and you get the premiums back no harm no foul, i.e. silver goes to $40 and you sell regular ASEs for $45 and MS70s for $70, either way there is a $25 delta.

Problem with that is that you COULD have bought twice as many regular ASEs as MS70s. The only way as a PERCENTAGE GAIN you "break even" is if the premium for MS70s go up as much in percentage terms as PM. If you believe that will happen ok, but if it doesn't you do not "break even" if you get your money back.

At least he admits he changed his stance, now a sorry would be nice for talking down to people who collect graded PM’s would be nice.

Now I’m going to have to dig up some of his old bitcoin post to troll him with.

I know it is hard for you to say Graded Bullion mpcusa. but I don't purchase any ASE anymore graded or raw unless it is a low mintage thing. The design stays the same I did when I first started but not much anymore or Toned Coins either, I can't tell if they're artificially toned or not after I read the book (Coin Collecting for Dummies.)

I don't have a problem with anything others wants to collect.
Some wish to build a set of Silver Eagles in slabs and some collect them raw.
Collectors should do what they enjoy and not what others tell them to collect.

Depending on what kind of bullion your buying has allot to do with, for instance
Krugerrands MS70,s are tough, actually have a couple and since there on the scarce
side you will get a heavy premium for them, have yet to see a PR70 and have been
in to them for awhile now also Mexican Libertads also have a couple MS70,s again
scarcity dictates the premium waiting for APMEX to get the new proofs in, they sold out in one day last year.
