It has been discussed here in the past, that jello has a disability, I wast to say he is dyslexic. I have no problem figuring out what he is saying, and people here should have a little understanding, and patience with members. we have members here from other countries where English is a second language for them, and people with learning disabilitys.

The common occurrence is buying a raw mint coin, having a membership to a TPG, grading the coin, increasing the value of your coin by doing so. Now, lets say that at least 40% of your submitted coins end up with a favorable and profitable grade.

Same thing should be possible with CAC, but, they seem to have started out as an exclusive club, went public access, withdrew from public access and now I'm hearing of a waiting list, along with meeting specific criteria, prior to future acceptance.

I'm just saying that nothing good that you have to pay for, should be this unpredictable, difficult and confusing. I believe the membership control is the reason for the current higher prices on green beans. Saturate 40% of the market with them (which seems to be the goal), and they will end up in half price bins, like some TPG coins. That belief would be one of several factors that hinder my interest in the green stickers.

For a comparison, doesn't NGC and PCGS each have approximately 40% of the slab market? CAC is also aiming at that same saturation level among slabs.

Out of curiosity, nothing more, for the ones that do not like CAC, do you have any slabbed CAC coins? Also, do you not buy any slabbed CAC coin?

I know of a very well known member here, who has an excellent thematic coin collection, who I would describe as vocally anti-CAC, but who owns coins that just happen to have CAC stickers. Meaning, he does not consider the lack of, or the presence of, the CAC sticker (or any other stickers) when making purchasing decisions. I do not think he is so anti-CAC that he would remove the sticker of an already stickered coin.

I joined CAC in August 2009. At that time you were only charged $10 for EACH coin that stickered. NO CHARGE for the coins that didn't sticker. I sent in about 60 coins in 2009 and 2010. I hit around the low 60% sticker range also. I still have about a dozen of the originals that I sent in. Also, at that time you only needed to be a member of the ANA to join. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's $12.50 per coin now regardless if it stickers or not, could be wrong.

I do think Toronto has a point about saturation and values, a good point. I don't think it will effect the rare coins though.

I have no problem with Jello either. I sure would like to sit down with him and listen to his tales of wine, women and travels....;)

One more thing, I've seen some dog ugly coins with beans, both green and gold.

I don't think much affects rare coins. We had a discussion regarding CAC and cheap coins in this topic...

Very cool you joined CAC early on. Dealers pay $12.50 regardless if they pass or not. Collectors only pay for stickered coins. I think I have only seen 1 terrible coin with CAC which I could not understand, it had some radioactive green goop around the devices. :yack:

I don't think anyone here has a problem with Jello, he is one of the most active members and always is posting and commenting and is very generous with the like button and sharing. Now, understanding all his posts, that requires special skills. I am getting better at it. ;) I mentioned him in my previous post simply because he knows he is hard to understand sometimes and I know he wont get bent out of shape if its mentioned. Some say they have a hard time understanding @Mainebill, but personally I understand him just fine since he's a Mainer. Some of the other members here that don't use grammar, I also have a hard time as do others. But I don't really know those other guys, so I don't say anything. My post was more in reference to this:

People calling out hard-to-read posts are not always know-it-all college students who lack respect and grace. Sometimes, people (like me) literally cant understand what other members of writing due to lack of grammar, punctuation, and coherent sentences.

I wasn't trying to be rude, so I apologies if it came off that way. @jello @bkozak33

I do have dyslexia but IQ of 147 speak three languages english Italian and German.
Til 2004 when I had a work related accident my dyslexia was under control. I have chronic pain disease and cancer .
Now everything in the open. If John Albanese would do the same when comes to his history you would know what I do.
Sooner or later he has open the books on CAC stickers and why coin auction companies are given sheet of beans. When that day comes you will know what I know. Bye

I don't know, this guy liked jello and you see where it got him? There is a conspiracy theory floating around, which states that "jello makes you do bad things".;)

I have yet to see someone one this board advocating that people blindly rely on stickers and plastic. I am not saying it doesn't happen, but I think those people would be a very SMALL minority. Regardless of whether a coin is accurately graded or not, I might very well hate it. I'm sure most out there would agree.

Do you have pictures of the reverses? The coins look fine from the photographs but the Peace Dollar photo looks over lit and could be hiding flaws. The Morgan looks fine. Are there any rim dings on the reverses? JA hates those. I am also curious whether there is something that is not showing in the photos. Based on what you have shown, I too am a bit surprised.

On another note, for future reference, you can absolutely request that JA provide feedback as to why the coins did not sticker. On another note, maybe the dealer who viewed these in hand, could tell you.

$12.50 under $10,000, $25 over. Collectors do not pay for coins that don't sticker.

I'll send coins to cac as it helps the resale. I send them thru @geekpryde I do find coins local as I'm not at all afraid to buy raw. A lotof raw coins I have graded and the. They bean. A bean has no bearing on when I buy a coin I only have it done to help expand my resale of coins. As to my grammar etc you know it sucks I can't type either is auto spell check makes me readable. I'm no English major I slepr thru high scho ol English as I have a woodworking and antique business it makes no bearing on my work. I can understand jello just fine 99% of the time. I know people can find me hard to understand talking or typing if you don't like it either don't talk to me or read my posts as you might actually learn something. And I dont have no fancy degree I barely finished high school

    Reverses:

78 8TF: I'm going to send this coin to Robec for proper imaging. The HA pictures don't really capture the coin that well.

Peace Dollar: This looks as good in hand as the photos. Agree the photos look over lit, but it's bright white in hand. No residual dip residue either.

Thanks for your comments. I would like to call CAC and discuss the coins. I'm sure I would learn a lot.

According to a dealer, it's much harder to get a CAC sticker on coins that have been dipped at some time (white).

According to him, on the white coins (mostly Morgans) his success rate is 1 in 20 that will receive a sticker, whereas natural toned coins (Morgans in this case) have a higher success rate.

Anyone else agree or disagree with this? Of course, he was trying to sell a white CAC Morgan I was inquiring about.

I'd have to go look at the exact total, but I think I received 5 beans on "white" Morgan's in my recent submission. There were two white morgans that didn't bean (MS67 and 64 DPL) and a toned Morgan. I'm no expert on what CAC will or won't bean, but I based on my recent experience, I'd have to disagree with the dealer you referenced in your post.

They do like my toned morgans the best of anything that and super original silver. But I send them anything high dollar and no matter how original eye appealing and properly graded they won't sticker it

I have quite a few of the 2nd gen. I like the NGC edge view holders the best. The PCGS holder seems kind of cheap to me. BUT, I really don't care which holder it's in as long as the coin inside is nice! I don't do cross overs either. Seems like a waste of time to me.

I keep registry sets at NGC's site and it accepts both holders, no problem.
