Not the same coin as in the other pictures. Typical Morgan CC baggy uncirculated. Revised grade based on revised pictures--MS 63. Nothing like Photoshop and different lighting to make a coin look completely different. If you had those pictures side by side, I would NOT think them even remotely the same coin--the first set looked MS 65 and the revised (un-enhanced) pictures look MS 63. So, playing with the photos, or shooting at a flattering angle and lighting picked up two grades in my book.
I'd send it back if that's an option. Doesn't even closely represent the photo and likely deceptive in nature. Unless you paid less than $150 for it. My vote is 64 if you send it in. That's the problem with Morgan's IMO....I either want an XF45 or and MS65+. Baggy cheeks really bug me for some reason. It's odd how I can scour Heritage for CC morgans and some 64s look OK and others awful.
I'd say 64. It's the same coin, but he doctored the photos of the obverse. He somehow covered up that row of contact marks running up the cheek near the nose and eye. 84-CC GSA is very common. If you're not happy with it, you might want to return it as there are plenty more available.
He offered a fair partial refund after I told him I wanted to return it. I'll be able to sell it and be close to break even. Not the $1000 coin I was hoping for.
One of the reasons I skip a lot of coins on ebay is because the pictures do not give me a feel for the coin. I got bit by it early on with ebay - since then I really do not take any chances.
Dont think first coins pics and second pics match up... you can clearly see bag marks in the first pics looking ms66-67 that dont show on the others... get it graded NGC. in the GSA id say ms63. Good luck! Always a great starter coin to the set!
The later examples of grading aside, the initially shown seller's photos and the later photos provided by the buyer absolutely show the same coin evenif not obvious due to the former's, ahem, "technique".
