Who does? Not Provident. They were $2.19 over and are now out of Maples. I see Silver has fallen nearly 50 cents since last night! Dang!

    From the Provident Metals site...

    Sell To Us Price:$16.51
    * This is the price Provident Metals will pay you when selling your items to Provident Metals.

    $1 over spot...pretty nice!

I went for a roll of Libertads. I like the upside potential vs Eagles or Maples.

Friday night I bought ASEs at $18.40 and woke up to find them $17.90. Oh well. Thinking about buying a few more of something.

And just so the kiddoes don't forget in a moment of panic when rushing to such dealers to sell...

"The minimum when selling to Provident is $1,000. There are no maximums." [link]

Most of these online retail bullion outfits have similar limitations. APMEX is $1k. too. [FAQ]

Not sure why that has to be mentioned, at all... if I'm selling to Provident, it's usually in the $20k range. Under that, and the fact that it must ship Registered Mail makes it cost inhibiting.

Even at $1200 (the usual break even point for Registered), you're looking at 70 or so ounces... or a five pound box. If you were willing to risk sending it Priority Mail flat, you make $65 or so on the transaction, but if you're not willing to take that risk, you're looking at $40 net... and having to wait about 10 days for the package to reach them and a check to be issued.

    Because
there are still lots of people just starting out in acquiring PMs who get scared by the dropping prices and think about selling back right away, so some might not have quite as much as you have to deal with these dealers, and these new folks might not yet necessarily know that such limits exist when dealing with these bullion dealers, hence "kiddoes".

I went with the Armenia Noah's Ark 1oz. for $16 and change ($1.59 over spot).
Quantity available was shrinking fast so I didn't get as many as I wanted.
They ran out, but, the next day when spot price jumped back up, there were plenty available again.

Not uncommon to have only a certain amount of a product available at a sale price.
