Okay so the diameter of airtites that people post on ebay are the diameter of what size coin fits in there or the outside diameter of the actual airtite?

Okay that's nice to know, I'll just go ahead and buy a 2014. Oh and I love the ones with foam I think it just brings the coins detail out much more and it just looks better.

Yeah, JPs is a great supplier.
Air tite sizes are inside dimension to fit your coin dimensions. Some info at the links should also list outside dimensions. There are two kinds of AirTites: a foam ring and no ring. No ring fits tight to the coin. I've always preferred the ring type. Both are safe for coins.

Ugh aso many problems with this new hobby, can't get a grip on coin sizes. So I got that 2015 canadian 3/4 ox wolf today and on apmex.com it says the diameter is 38mm, on apmex's ebay listing it says 36.07, and on that pdf you linked shows that this coin is 33mm... I don't know which one to follow. Help?

I don't know the coin you bought, but you can check the specs on the Royal Canadian Mint website to confirm the actual specifications. The APMEX description actually says 38.1mm:D

Checked all their silver listings and they don't have the coin I bought, here is a picture of the one I bought.

So the coin is an exclusively marketed coin by APMEX with some agreement by RCM it seems. APMEX even have a video for the coin on YouTube! That's pretty crazy to have a bullion dealer creating video ads for a silver coin. I wonder if this coin will have some trouble fitting AirTite holders. At 3/4 oz. it may be slightly thinner and smaller diameter than typical holders. I would call APMEX and ask them the size to be confirmed. Therefore RCM doesn't sell them, at least at this time. It reminds me of GovMint's deal with the Mercanti High Relief Wedge Tail Eagle coins out this year.

Sure, but you will likely get a better range and mix of answers in a thread.

I find that I tend to use a micrometer I got cheap off ebay. If you decide to go for the airtite or Quadrum type containers you'll find that you need 37mm - 41mm with just about all the sizes in between. I like the coins to fit snugly in the casing.

Oh yeah I guess I could use one of those to be 100% certain of its size, I'm sure I could find one in my garage. Thanks for the tip!

Whenever you are collecting anything, I always think... think like an investor... or vice versa invest like a collector which is better! Historical significance, rarity, and popularity are 3 key ingredients to gaining value with your collection! Always stick with IMO US mint coins or bullion... like others have stated easier to liquidate. If you really fell in love check out some of the older California Gold Rush gold and Morgan Dollars. Comstock load stuff!
