Great token! The toning is beautiful and of course at a 66 RB what else is there to say? Well one more thing...the word "parasol" in the headband is cool too.

With the hereon or crane on it this must be from the Presque Isle in lake Erie "Pa's only seashore!" There are also state parks or local parks called the same in MI. and Wis. Would have been nice if the location was on it. Still a nice looking one.

A nice portrait of Kennedy but I especially like the reverse. Thanks for showing it.

Pleiku Air Base was operated by the USAF and the South Vietnamese Air Force. The USAF flew A-1 Skyraiders aka Spads. The Navy and Marines also called them Able Dogs. I haven't been able to find out if the USAF adopted that nick name or not. The AF flew interdiction missions against the Ho Chi Minh Trail with the Skyraiders. They also operated, from Pleiku, AC-47 "Spookys" aka "Puff The Magic Dragon." They were gunships modified from C-47's and later C-130's. The Spookys had 13 machine/mini guns. The AF also conducted Psyops from Pleiku in O-2B's or modified Cessna Skymasters. Psyops aircraft were aka "The Bull (you know) Bomber."

As a side note, the larger Psyops aircraft dropped what were called "screaming meemies." They were aluminum boxes with four speakers that emitted a loud screeching noise until the batteries ran out. If the box was tampered with, or shot at, it exploded 25 pounds of HE "fuse quick" :p
