Hey now, get outta my series! Seriously though the dime and half are super nice, as you probably know though, I am a sucker for these AU+ seated coins. YUMMY Oh and heres mine, even though I am not supposed to be buying anything right now Can anyone figure out why I would purchase this coin while I am on a buying hiatus?
Ill give you guys a hint, its not because I LOVE Carson City quarters This is my other one that I have, so it wasnt an upgrade
1838 Seated Dime, No Drapery, Large Stars MS63 PCGS A recent pickup of mine ... Fortin-108 Enjoy! Best Regards, George
Bought this one today had to set my alarm for a early morning bid. It looks pretty nice. I'll get better pictures when it arrives.
Been on a buying hiatus myself but I don't think I posted this here one of the very few coins I bought the last couple months
Very close. That's what gave my clue away to go ahead and buy it. It's the Briggs 13-L from what I can tell, the reverse die crack matches up perfectly and there were only 2 obverse dies for the L reverse, 13 & 14. 14 has an obverse die crack and I didn't see that in the photo, so it should be 13. 13-L is the recognized variety in the book as the one to seek out for the best value and scarcity. Although it's not listed in the CPG, it should be a hot item in the near future as seated quarters continue to flourish.
