Liberty Coin Service of Lansing, Michigan. http://libertycoinservice.com/ I have been a customer since 1972. My most recent purchase was this past spring. The store was founded by the late R. W. "Bill" Bradford. It is now owned by Patrick A. Heller, a PNG dealer. I have much more positive information and nothing negative in over 40 years.
How do you search for a dealer? I mean, mail order is pretty common, so sorting them by state is marginally helpful; you can find their address easily enough, I suppose.
McBride's 2915 San Gabriel (30th at North Lamar) Austin, TX 78705 http://www.mcbridesguns.com/location.htm They do not advertise the coins heavily, but it is about 25% of their floorspace and where I go to meet the VAM collectors and other guys from the local coin club. They are in their third generation. They do inventory their numismatics and they have an array from world tokens through Texas Republic "Red Back" paper money, with the mainstream being US Type, of course. Also, they are not ANA members. However, I have bought there many times and I consider them the best coin store in Austin for numismatic items.
Belvedere Collectible coins in Belvedere Illinois, Owner Pat Delaney, if it gets put on the list I am going to write a review that would make his mother blush,
Got those added. Keep them coming! Liberty Coin https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/liberty-coin-service.252529/ McBride's Guns https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/mcbrides-guns-inc.252530/ Belvedere Collectible https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/belvedere-collectible.252531/
I think once we get more listed over into the 'Internet' category, you'll find that more useful. I just started off with categorizing them geographically because that made more sense, then Matt suggested adding an Internet category and the way I set it up hopefully will help with the discovery of new dealers on a regular basis.
First off, Craig Johnson, listed under Minnesota dealers, is actually the owner of Valley Coin, which is also listed under Minnesota dealers. Therefore, it is a duplicate entry and the entry for Craig Johnson should be removed. Secondly, Bill at Lake Superior Coins http://lakesuperiorcoins.com/ is a very good coin dealer up in Duluth MN. Probably good to add to the dealer directory.
Thanks. Corrected the one, added the other. https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/lake-superior-coins.252538/ go ahead and post a review of him, and let him know you got him listed if you want.
My favorite LCS isn't listed, but that's cool. I want to be mine, all mine. I've mentioned it before so you'll have to find it the old fashioned way. BTW, I love this new feature. I travel often for work and now I have a go to place to find local shops. This will really be great once some reviews get posted.
Not neccesarily a local coin shop but the man sells me gold and silver bullion at good prices. Wilkes Barre Gold under Pennsylvania.
Sounds good Peter, I wasnt sure. Sleep deprived last night. EDIT: Does the website not show up in the in the directory? It looks like its just the address there.
I'm entering the name of the shop, the city they're located in and zip code. If they want something more than that listed, they can add it themselves.
Well, wouldn't you like to have the bragging rights that you're the one who got your local shop listed here? Added, thanks!
