Here are a couple of my most recent purchases: 1964 Kennedy in an NGC sample holder: 2007 Silver Proof Set (Also came with boxes and certificates of authenticity):
Relative wanted to get me a coin as a "going away to college" gift. I contacted Mainebill since I know he has a good selection of old coins. This lovely lady arrived in the main today!
I bought a 2007 Silver Proof Set for my daughter's birth year last weekend myself. I had bought her a set when she was born, but it wasn't a Silver. Did get her a 1/10 AGE though. : ) Rob

Geekpryde put together this thread from which I learned about some great online dealers; I particularly like the "the coin shown is the coin you will receive" element. I picked up this shield nickel, no rays from one of those recommendations. It arrived a few days ago. Are those die cracks? I appreciate any comments on grade? Thanks for checking it out! -L
Love shield nickels, an underrated series IMO. Looks like die cracks as well as doubling on the 5 and "IN GOD" legend.
Lotsa cracks shield nickels are known for em they weren't used to making dies for as hard of metal as the nickel copper alloy they used so the dies often failed. Why they did away with the rays after 2 years
I like them a LOT too! Thank you very much for your comments, Mat and Mainebill. I appreciate your time very much. -L
I just sent a check for these two love tokens, the 1876 quarter is actually what is called a watch bow. The photo of the reverse is upside down (Sellers' picture). A woman would hang a small pocket watch from it. The 1876 is a half dollar. Both of these denominations are not as readily found as half dimes and dimes.
