Once again, I wonder how they're making money after eBay/PayPal's cut.

 

I just bought 4 of them. After my 2% cash back reward that is spot price on these. Gold eagles here go for $40 over spot which makes me happy. I almost want to sell my 5 Kennedy's to MCM for $6750 that I paid $6205 for 5 AGE's 1 ounce eagles. MCM shot me down but apex is considering my offer. The way I figure it I can get an extra 1.25 ounces of .999 pure gold for the same price as the Kennedy's. Considering pcGs wants $296 to grade the 5 coins that puts me in them at $1300 each minus 2%CC cash back so puts me in them at $1,275. With all this turmoil with the mint I am really thinking of going back to buying just silver and gold.

 

Looks like they sold 803 of them in a 24 hour span

 

Well they do have sweet heart deals with both I'm sure. I've heard that Apmex's ebay fee is only 1%, not sure what % they are getting with paypal.

They are still losing a decent chunk on this deal though, they must think it will be worth it in the long run to possibly pick up some new customers with deeper pockets.

I picked up a few double eagles for a great price instead. The AGE deal was pretty tempting though.

 

Anytime you can get a $20 gold piece for a good price you do it imo.
