You crack me up Medo, the banksters make hundreds of billions off the interest payments every year on loans to the US government. Where do they get the money to loan the US government? They print it from thin air of course.

The banksters are the biggest scammers on the face of the planet, in no way, shape or form do they BENEFIT the taxpayers who they steal from on a daily basis.

Actually, I'd say that's definitely snarkiness. Mean? Nah. Snarky? Definitely.

  5. ISIS is now within 40 miles of Baghdad. US considering all options including military strikes and potential alliance with Iran! PMs and oil prices creeping up today. Hope there is a peaceful resolution to this crisis.

As do I, I really don't want to see more bloodshed. As far as PM and oil though, I think it may have minor effects early on, but longer term, I don't see much of an impact no matter the final outcome is. They are just not that big of a player

  7. Agreed, unless Saudi Arabia or Kuwait are threatened by the instability. I seriously doubt the US would let that happen though.

But why should it be our problem? We do not import a drop of oil from the Persian gulf anymore I believe. Heck, we are cutting off Nigeria and Mexico as we speak as well. Some predict the US as a net exporter of oil in a few years.

Sorry, but I was in the Persian Gulf war. Back then we had more of a reason to protect the oil there. Now, I do not see why our blood and money should be spilt to protect Europe and China's oil supply. Let Germany and China waste their national budget to protect their own dang oil.

  9. Thanks for your service Chris. I am sure you know this situation is complicated and much more than just about oil. Instability in that region would not be good for many countries including a good number of our allies. Let's hope for a peaceful resolution. Back to PMs, the markets do not like this type of uncertainty. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I understand sir. I am just a homer when it comes to defense, believing we are way too stretched out all over the world meddling in too many country's affairs. I was not meaning to be too grumpy, sorry if it came off that way. I believe we should protect our allies who prove to be allies and want our help, and leave the rest of the world alone. Countries that only ask for our help when its convenient for them, and thumb their noses at us the rest of the time, should fend for themselves. I bet the worldwide "hate USA" sentiment would go down tremendously.

If their supply becomes undependable their demand for oil will still remain the same and shift to our supply putting direct upward pressure on the price.

Welp, it was a nice run, but still less than two months. Kitco ask is 20.01 and high logged so far today is 20.03. Looks like a $20 close is nigh at hand now.

"Looks like the War Party (Republican/Democrat) is beginning to beat the drums for another war in Iraq, charging that somehow Iraqi rebels pose a threat to the US. With the lumbering US economy in trouble, war offers an easy political out. And it increases demand, for stuff that blows up and therefore has to be re-ordered over and over. Good for GDP, bad for people and other living things."

"The SILVER PRICE touched back to its 50 DMA (1942c) today, then closed near the 1977c high. Low came at 1943c. I'm nothing but a nacheral born durned fool, but this looks like a strong rally to me. Determined. I'll feel chipper as can be as long as silver stays above 1950c. Over 2050c, it will begin to run. Not coincidentally, the 200 DMA stands at 2052c." - Franklin Sanders, The Moneychanger

That was what he wrote today about silver...

Actually they could pose a threat to the US in a big way. Just wait till one of them lunatics gets an American passport and makes his way into a big US city to blast up some of us infidels. "Infidels", their word not mine. Sure, right now it's all about the price of oil but is it enough to affect the price of PM's? It depends how insecure the American public starts to feel, time will tell. I'll tell ya' if there's any more "boots on the ground" sent over there, this situation could get big and ugly with a swiftness. It's a shame that war sometimes fuels the price of PM's but that's just how it works sometimes. Time will tell, time will tell.

Why only delete one post but not all the "political posts". Mine actually had useful information in it as well.

Mine wasn't really political anyhow, if you post that Germany invaded France during WW2 is that political? I don't see how stating facts is politics.
