    No, it is either machine doubling due to the looseness or wear of the machinery or the overuse and spreading of the die face. IMO, Jim

    MD, there is no mistaken identity of a real doubled die 1969 cent.

    Mintmarks were not part of hubbing in 1969. Mintmarks were punched into working dies then. And there are no RPMs for 1969-S that I'm aware of.

    Not even close. Any spreading towards the rim is Die deterioration. Add the flat and shelf like and you have MD also.
