    Good point Hotpocket.

Btw Longnine I am a bit distressed you view me as some kind of stock pimp. At todays levels I think there is risk in it. I have no where near half my investments in stocks, and what I do have is lfrom stuff bought before 2013. I have farmland, rental house, my own house, pm, coins, and a little art. I simply believe a person should be diversified. A true stock person thinks I am stupid for investing in pm at all. I have always defended pm to stock people and get crucified for it, yet when I defend other assets here I get crucified again. I do not believe in either extreme. I am sure I am wrong, but since I do not know whicj way I am wrong I invest in both.

I am not the enemy you think I am.

If they went in there tomorrow and did an audit, the same conspiracy theory advocates still wouldn't be satisfied. It would become a 'moon landing' conspiracy...all smoke and mirrors. So really, what does it matter? It doesn't.

Really, do you believe that when Ron Paul asked to have it audited their reasoning was sound? Are you so blind that you believe everything is just fine, we're humming along smoothly as a society and there is no us and them between the government and the general populace? Is it so much of a stretch for you to believe that this country is no longer for the people, of the people, by the people? If you do, I feel very sorry for you, because that kool-aid you've been drinking is spiked, and you don't understand its effects. For that, I feel sorry for you...

Yes, Peace, that is a stretch for me to believe. Not every single thing in life is a conspiracy to fool you. You're fooling yourself just fine.

Here is the response I expect most times I come here. The above is a great example, and if you read this thread it's loaded with them.

It's basically the same as we get from the govt. You could've posted earlier that you don't know for sure, but would prefer to deflect to something different while making a reference to a lady with a lantern and a cow peeked in a door and saw some bars. On the way home the cow tipped over the lantern and Chicago is on fire, so we need to put that out. Then, to top it all off, you mention these impeccable credentials that we should all be in awe of, just to try to bury the deflection a little further.

If that doesn't work out, we then go to the answer a question with a question routine. It's the, I'm smarter than you are, so answer my question and you'll have your answer, which is just more deflection dressed up with more make-up.

I got bad news for you, put as much lipstick, hairspray, mascara, eye-liner and perfume on it as you want, it's still a pig...

So, are you sure you guys aren't paid for shills? It's ok if you are, at least you have a job...I can respect that.

Oh here we go. Anyone who does not share your world view OF COURSE has to be part of the conspiracy, huh? No other explanation, since you of course are brilliant so of course any dissenting view has to be paid operatives.

Of course I cannot prove the gold is there. Its unprovable by me since I will never be allowed access, nor should I. Neither can you so where are we. Neither personally can prove an asset that in the scheme of thigngs would not matter to the US. Tell you what, why don't we assume there is no gold there, SO WHAT? WTF does that even mean? Nothing. Our frn are not backed by it, our economy does not depend on it, they could announce it tomorrow and I would yawn.

Like I said, the pm nuts are truly desparate to divert the discussion from the world class beatdown pm got in 2013 by dredging up this 1970's era conspiracy theory. I am sorry its that desperate for you.

Forget it, Chris. He's on to us. Peace, could you please move a bit to the left...the camera is aimed too far right and we need to load your profile into the drones circling overhead. And, you didn't hear us say that, ok.

It may have taken a beatdown in 2013, but from what you said was a price driven by speculation... it is still double what it was 5 years ago.. that's not too bad..

It takes the people asking questions to keep things legit not the ones who say it doesn't matter...

There is a distinct difference between asking questions and believing in a vast conspiracy. Literally hundred of US employeeshave been asked over the years if the gold was there, and they all said yes. I do not have a problem with questions. Its when you do not get the answer you wish to believe you assume this proves some kind of massive conspiracy that I feel is borderline mental.

Translation: you are free to believe anything in the world as long as you agree with me.

Having people not agree with me doesn't bother me a bit Peace, why is it so bothersome to you? Worldview so fragile e eryone must reinforce it?

Its a shame how some people have the mentality that "the game is rigged against me" and there is conspiracy in everything. I guess it makes it easier to blame "them" than to work hard, be accountable and succeed in life. I am rather sick of the "they are all out to get us, and that's why my life is a mess" nonsense. Even if there were vast conspiracies out there, you still need to have the discipline and tenacity to succeed in spite of them. Yes, that takes hard work, and there is no free lunch.

Back to PMs though, I think that with thousands of workers over the years at Ft. Knox, if there were some conspiracy going on it would have leaked, especially in this day and age where they might get 15 mins of fame out of it. Too big to pull off in my humble opinion.

Good thing we all love each other and are all happy here at CoinTalk!!! :)

What about those among us who subscribe to some degree of "they are all out to get us", but don't believe "and that's why my life is a mess" or that our lives are a mess at all?

Blaubart, you are what I would call a rational prepper. Like you said, "to some degree" I know you have guns, bullets, metals, etc. just in case, but you also have stocks, bonds, etc. just in case all is good. While I really don't share the philoophy of preparing for the end of the World, I think it is difficult to find fault with someone who is "covering all the bases" So my vote if for a big thumbs up!!!

Holy cow, you read all kinds of stuff into that post. First of all, my life is spectacular. Second, at no point did I say somebody was out to get me and I work and have worked my tail off to get where I am. You have no clue how tenacious I am in setting and attaining my goals and objectives on a daily basis. Lastly, I am not a "free lunch" person, I don't purposely take advantage of any of the gaming the current systems allow, so stop with this nonsensical projection.

Are you trying to say that there hasn't been any theorists that have mentioned or got on TV saying that the gold isn't in Fort Knox?
