I agree, or flip them into a house payment, purchasing an asset, or buy groceries. Its kind of the point, one asset you only use to buy all of the stuff you want in life. Want to be on a gold standard? Immediately trade your dollars into gold. Want to be on a bologna sandwich standard, same thing. :)

I tried the bologna sandwich standard, but after 3 days, they had artificial toning.

Have you seen the price of bulk cinnamon lately ? Supply is limited and it is being used in diets and supplements increasingly. Cinnamon diet! no Chris , not Cinnabum diet :)

I didn't notice cinnamon, but noticed coffee has crashed from its high a year or two ago. I bet you it was the man manipulating the market to keep good, honest coffee stackers from finally profiting on our brilliant investment. Eric Sprout personally told me coffee has to go up due to the vast cola easing going on in western countries!

At least there is someone else out there who doesn't think everything is a conspiracy.

I think $20 is a great price to stack but with China and other emerging markets looking like they will go under pretty soon here, I'm not sure we've seen the lows yet.

Besides, I don't have much money allocated for bullion purchases yet. I hope prices remain low for at least another 1-2 years.

Far be it from me to lend an ear to every conspiracy theory, but as far as silver goes I will gladly admit that I believe something is afoul. I just don`t believe that in a short period of time silver would lose more than half of its value. (just my humble opinion)

I always go back to the eyes and ears test regarding silver being in a 3 year slump. (since its 1982 "funk.") If it were indeed in a legit slump.......why are the silver bullion programs from various mints still flourishing? (minus the U.S. Mints commemorative program that We all love) Why has the industrial demand not tanked as well? Maybe it`s just me, but 2+2 is not making 4 in this case.

Either way, I too hope that silver stays low for a while, as I`m still in the bulls camp.

Why would anyone manipulate a commodity that accounts for less than 1% of traded goods? I think Chris hit the nail on the head.

Why would hackers steal your identity when you're less than 0.00000001% of the people in the world??

This is exactly what they want you to think. There is no convincing you so I won't try. Clearly you don't understand that the most powerful people in the world couldn't give a crap about following the rules.

A "like" is not nearly enough for Tinpot's comment. TEN thumbs up. :cigar:
Same reason another controversial "control" doesn't work.

You sir are the one who stated it was the rich banks and government is a conspiracy to manipulate pm. You then post a historu of an event I explained in a straightforward manner knowing how them cme works. I partipate in commodity markets, and have to the cme many times.

I believe you "are not explaining it to me" since you have no proof, only an unsupported conspiracy theory. Its one of the oldest games in online forums, when caught with no proof claim the other side is too dumb to understand. This makes it seemlike there really is validity in your opinion, when there isn't.

I'll let you in on a little secret, when you control the information that is shared and have also controlled how that information is learned, any and all disinformation is considered the truth, whether it is or isn't.

  20. I dont see how it could hurt to buy silver as cheap as it is right now (approx $20/oz). Just dont put all of your money in 1 thing (like silver). Have some silver, gold, guns, bullets, emergency food, stuff like that. No one promises any of us a tomorrow and we all see how honest the US government and wall Street are so take a chance in life. Invest for fun. Silver is nice to look at. If it goes down buy more. If it goes up then sell. Who cares? its just money and you cant take a dime of it with you to the grave. If anyone can say for certain where any investment will go then you would be rich and famous for your amazing ability to do what no one else can. Your best bet is to invest in people.

So, you are saying its healthy to always assume everyone is lying and believe the whole world is a conspiracy? Which pill did you take, the red one or the blue one? Do you realize how paranoid this sounds, "Nothing is as it seems, they are all out to get us".

I have friends from school who work down on Whacker. I have been there and visited them and seen their jobs and how it works. So you are saying all of this is BS, all a charade, just to make sure those GD bullion stackers don't get ahead in life.

Maybe its comforting to believe you would be rich if it were not for "the man" keeping you down and persecuting you. Maybe its easier to sleep at night knowing its not YOUR FAULT, its "the man". That is the only explanation I can think of.

Btw, yes, I am very aware of the power of controlling information. I am very aware we cannot trust our government. I listen to both political viewpoints, BBC world news, other countries news, heck even Al Jazeera at times. I grant you that point readily. However, that has NOTHING to do with why the CME wishes to adjust margin rates. Face it, the ONLY reason pm ever got that high was rampant speculation, and when the CME raised margin requirements that speculation bubble burst. No REAL DEMAND for pm was ever that high, as much as you may wish it to be true, dream about it, and pray every night to make it happen. I do not believe the government was not manipulating it, (nor the "big banks"), because pm is effectively irrelevant nowadays. Why would they care?
