The top bar that has Chinese writings weighes 1.2 ounces (they call it 1 tael, which is 37.5grams, just like the gold content in a Mexican 50 pesos). The front looks like this with hologram on it. image.jpg

One thing good about buying gold from the Bank of Taiwan is that they would record customers' ID whnever you buy or sell back to them and you can only sell it back if you have the original receipt and the plastic box is intact. The premium is one of the lowest I know, so it is not the prettiest bar in the world.

No, no, I am not rich. I am 30 and I still live with my parents, so I saved alot on rent.

I've enjoyed seeing all the posts in the "Post your silver bullion!!!" thread. I expect this thread will see fewer posts because silver is so much easier to collect, but I look forward to seeing them. It's off to a good start so far!

I've only got a little bit of gold, nothing special, but I'll try to post a few pictures sometime soon.

If my kid was 30, living at home, not paying rent and buying gold, I know who would end up owning the gold... ;)

I have several gold eagles from the mint and one raw gold nugget purchased from a fellow CT member, but that's about it. And I don't pay rent because I own my home. :p

I am not sure about that, the bar isn't as popular as Pamp Suisse.

Those coins seem rare. You have an awesome collection, especially the San Marion one, really pretty.

thank you. the San Marino spider rarely comes up. there is a spider and ant set on Ebay now that is way over priced. I have been wanting the ant for a while but I had car problems to get fixed. my other coins are quite common on Ebay.

While some may consider them "common", they're certainly not ordinary by my standards as I've never seen any of these particular coins in person. Around here, it's mostly just US and Canadian gold.

    Thanks for sharing!
