So just found this thread and these awesome Rounds. I want 1 Silver and 10 Copper Rounds of each in the series. I guess its off to Ebay to find the first two.
I know a guy that is selling a set of 3, 1 each of the series for $90 per set. A little cheaper than the bay auctions. Pm if you are interested.
Got an email from Provident today about the Proof Walkers and Morgue Annes. They are limited to 10k pieces, which is a good thing. They want $75 each for the Walkers and $55 for the Morgue Annes. Talk about getting a big head, I think I will stick with the bullion versions.
Got my zombucks today from provident and Ebay. 20 copper walkers only 10 shown selling the other 10 back on ebay 10 copper Morgue Annes 10 Copper Zombuffs 1 Silver Zombuff. Still looking for a silver Walker and Silver Morgue Anne that isn't crazy over spot. Might just have to shell out the $30 for one of them since the price seems to be only going up from the looks of Ebay. The goal is 10 copper and 1 silver of each design and to keep with this group a 1oz Dollar Coin or a round of the same design. Seems like something cool to have and who knows in 20 years could have a big premium with such low mintage.
I want to agree with you, but in 20 years the zombie apocalypse will have claimed over 7 billion victims and there will be no one to appreciate them. Except for me and my family. In our bunker.
I have the first 2 and am going to buy the buffalo one next week, this is a set i have to get all of. same with the birds of prey
The new design has been released for the upcoming sale in April The Barber http://www.providentmetals.com/zombucks-the-barber-1-oz-silver-round.html
Gotta be honest - the barber design is a whole new level of corny. I'll get it to keep my set going, but is that really as creative as they can get?
Yeah but they were playing off the whole barber/hair cutting theme with the scissors and titling it The Barber. I'm not impressed either, but I'll buy 2-3 when they come out.
I like it a lot better than the Zombuff, they were being PC not having a slaughtered Native American (genocide nickel) and went with a silly looking butcher chart for the Buff (any other explanation for them using the reverse as the art) ...This new one is the most gruesome with the scissors in the eye!! haha..makes me think of an Italian horror movie.... definitely reminiscent of Sweeney Todd though.
I like that coin. Come to think of it has any zombie/living dead film have a zombie being killed by a scissor? I'M GETTING CURIOUS AGAIN!!!!!!!
I find it amusing people here think the Barber Zombucks is "too silly". The whole series is silly, and meant to be so. In fact, the whole notion of a zombie apocalypse is silly. Its supposed to be fun and different, not a thought-provoking journey into American numismatics.
I am going to get some of all10 of them. Thought about buying 500 copper ones. Wonering if you guys have done that. Do they sell well?
