So far I've only purchased from dealers like Apmex, Provident & MCM. I tend to purchase current year issues that these dealers claim come straight from the actual mints. Besides that, I have a digital scale, digital calipers & a stack of small neodymium magnets. I'll also do the ring test, but I find that tends to work best on ASE sized bullion coins.

First off these are being made in China. And they can ship in bulk into the 100k if not more monthly to anyone that can afford them at $3-4 a piece plus shipping...

Hi All, ***Unpleasant update for bullion buyers in the south east***

Just got an email from a guy in the Baltimore area. Who purchased a large amount of 1 oz bullion bars back around January. They were packaged just like the ones I bought up here in New England. And ended up being counterfeits. For anyone in the MD area buying bullion (Matthew, Sunshine, Pan Am Scottsdale bars, etc.) Please exercise caution when buying from new sources.

With silver prices on the rise, this might become more of an issue again...

What do you mean "in the south east"? Baltimore is in the Northeast. Or are these being reported in Florida, GA, AL too?
