Hopefully this link works. I found this on ebay while searching for a silver eagle coin. I figured I couldn't go wrong for $2.50. What is it? http://m.ebay.com/itm/171237331612?nav=SEARCH
I know it's a novelty but I thought it was worth taking a chance on for only 2 and a half dollars. We'll see what it's like when it gets here.
Then I would avoid buying any bullion made by a private mint. It's only going to be worth its precious metal content. Unless you collect interesting bullion, though. It might be neat to say look at how small this silver bar is!
I collect interesting coins and this bullion bar, while technically not a coin, is interesting and cheap, so why not?
While most times, this is the case, it's not always true. I have some Private Mint "bullion" bars that will easily sell for $100 or more right now. Bugo, if you like it, that's all that matters.
These are definitely a ripoff. They don't have much collectible value as they're an unknown product not made by any mint of repute. They don't have much value as silver - about $.65 worth. They're tiny. VERY tiny.
APMex has several of these 1 gram bars if you want them This would be my favorite: http://www.apmex.com/product/79898/1-gram-american-flag-design-silver-bar-999-fine I wouldn't buy one though; I mean for $1.50 more I could get this: http://www.apmex.com/product/35191/1-20-oz-silver-mexican-libertad-random-year
It came today, and I like it. It's about as wide as a dime, which is bigger than I expected from some of the comments on this forum. It has a permanent place in my collection along with other novelty coins and bullion.
