Entry Post, Mr. Paddy - no shadow this year, however thank you very much for your generosity. Those wheats will go to my grandson, who is beginning his own coin collection.

Entry Post. I want them. All of them would be upgrades to my Lincoln Cents. Also I’m guessing Phil won’t see his shadow. Or at least I’m hoping Phil won’t see his shadow. . Here’s to an early spring.

I would like to enter. I would like to win.
I too would love to visit Spain, but I'd be so itchy to swing a metal detector around over there...
I would like to go exploring in Spain with a metal detector. Is there any concern with antiquities, which might be considered property of the State? I seem to recall they get excited about treasures in the Caribbean, though perhaps they are less concerned at home?

I’ll bet it’s illegal as heck. @expat might know.

The use of metal detectors or any other treasure hunting for searching for archaeological items is, by law, not allowed, until and unless you have prior permission from the local authorities. However, illegal treasure hunting is rampant in Spain.
Many regions have a fairly relaxed view of the subject but Andalucia is very strict with a total ban on the activity. Permits can take months to be issued in other regions. As far as detecting on Spanish beaches goes, you can only obtain a yearly license.

Pick someone else. As previously mentioned, no one need enter on behalf of @Good Cents anymore. I’m in line at the post office, mailing this to her. Among many other things, there are three such sets of BU Wheat cents in that box, for her trio of nephews.

    I believe that’s a seven- or eight-pound box.

I'll enter for myself, then. My folders could use an upgrade!

It's offical six more weeks of winter!

At sun rise when those crazy men in top hats yanked Phil out of a long winter sleep...only to see his shadow!
They got off lucky...had I been Phil I'd rip their faces off....I did love the year that Phil did get a piece of ear... while being rudely awaken!

Hey, the pessimist that I am, I think I had the only guess that Punxatawney Phil would see his shadow and get all scared and return to his hole for 6 more weeks of winter. ( I don't live far from his town )
It will be about 0 degrees on Saturday.

Now I gotta get lucky and make a wish to get the generated lucky number.

Mekka Lekka Hi ~ Mekka Hiney Ho
Thanks to both LordM and Paddy for the generosity.

OMG, OMG This is very happy news. My grandson's birthday is March 3 and he will be very happy with these pennies. I have a bunch of other coin items to give him as well, I am so looking forward to sharing this hobby with him.
