What equipment do you use?

I am struggling with lighting.

 

I have two cheap gooseneck lamps that I put at around 9 and 3 o'clock. I also have a desktop camera stand that I use for overhead 90 degree shots. I think I've posted a link to the stand before - I got it on eBay...

I already have a tripod.

I've been using a rope light as well as the halogen lights in my ceiling fan.

I have the coins flat on the table, the camera on the tripod facing directly over the coin and set at super macro.

My pictures are not true in color.

Perhaps I need to put the coins on an easel and try the gooseneck lamps that you suggested.

 

If you're using halogen lights, make sure you have the white balance correctly set on your camera.

I was just thinking about double checking that.

 

I like it the most out of those four, but not a big fan of any generic rounds.

 

The Zombucks have to be the hottest generic bullion around though. I like em and plan on buying a couple at some point.

Anyone know when they will be off the market?

 

There is a schedule on Provident's website on when each round in the series will be released. I'm not sure if there is more info such as the previous round will be removed from sale, or something else...
