My daughter bought an old Mercury from a farmer in Maine. While driving down the road an earring fell off her ear and went under the seat. Later when she went to get the earring she also found a discarded cigarette pack crumpled up. At home she threw it in the garbage. The dog tipped over the garbage can and out of the cigarette pack rolled a 1849-D gold dollar. She threw it in the Salvation Army bucket last Christmas.
