maybe they wanted a buffer in case the initial rush was more than they had ready, and once they realized they had enough stock to fill the initial orders, they moved teh ship date up? lol.......as if I know what the hell i'm talking about.

$1640 price tag is not a problem, It's what will the Big Dealer's list a RP69 & RP70 at. I mean if you can purchase a PCGS First Strike 70 at say less than $2000 with a special label, then you would have to ask yourself if the RP70 was worth the extra $360. Then as the Chief stated the RP69's might sell at or below the initial release price, heck I would pay $1700 for a PCGS RP69 in a PCGS First Strike label. Ummm decision's.

Decided to get one kind of early. Never know what kind of "Supply" problems the mint may have. Was a a lot cheaper that I thought it would be. Somewhere I read it was going to be $1,750 or something like that. May have been a dream or the affects of the new medication I am on but glad it was less that I thought. Anyhow I am in for one

no problems ordering at 5 PM Central time

with only a four week ordering window,
wouldn't they all be considered early release(first strike) ?

My plan was to purchase 5, I am slowly backing away from this plan. I see ebay pre-sales already dropping, I still will buy 1 or 2 for myself but already graded is starting to sound good. I can alway's order later in the month from the mint and who know's gold may come down, lowering the mint price.

Yeah that's weird, website shows 8/23 but order confirmation says 9/8... I'm with Taribor, if these things start showing up graded before mine ship out i'll be canceling the 2 I ordered and re-order graded ones, and giving the mint a big FU!

True, but if they did that they wouldn't be able to gouge you for the extra $20~

If gold stays above 1300 this week, then these will cost 1690 next week, right?

yup. If the average stays above $1300 which is figured every Wednesday.

Yes, I just looked at the pricing grid ~ Avg. $1300 to $1349.99 price @ $1690 ! The price would have to Avg. $1200 to $1249 to lower the price !

I think you'll be able to get a 70 for around $2000 or less, the Big Boys have to compete.

    This is kind of interesting:
REVERSE PROOF SALES = 12,630 in 30 minutes.
REGULAR PROOF SALES = 12,297 since May 23

Could the regular 2013-W Proof Buffalo be special? Never know.................

1 listed on ebay today ( Friday ) at $1995 or best offer, prices on ebay are slowly coming down already. Spend $1640 to make a $100 to $125, it's not worth it to me to buy for resale. I still am in for 1 or 2 though for my collection, prices will go up in the long term as gold rises plus they are very sharp RP Gold Buffalo's.

I would imagine that has something to so with people (and maybe I give too much credit) not being dumb enough to buy a coin of some gouger on ebay for 2000, when they can go to the mint and get it for 1640. We won't know resale until after they stop sales and the flippers get out of the way. Once the dust settles, I bet these settle in around the '12 proof pricing. Now if they sell 50000 that's a different story.

I won't sell any of my three unless the premiums become too high to say no.

I will be watching the mintages. The problem is that if gold plunges and the price is reduced during the 4 week window we will have another buying frenzy. As it is I am very surprised by the reported numbers

:) I wish that they would have done a RP fractional version of these Buffalo's.
