when does the mint stop selling the ATB coins?

The mint says they have a mintage of 25,000 per. They report the year to date sales.

Does this mean they have an inventory of 25,000 or do they strike them as orders come in with the limit being set at 25,000?

Does this mean that they could be selling the 5 oz bucks from 2013 in 2014 or does each have both a start and stop date?

No stop date and your scenario has happened before. More likely they will do like last year – even though the max was high, they made fewer and ended sales when they dwindle to almost none.

Yea, I really don't get the thought process. If you are going to randomly end sales 10,000 below the max mintage, then why not just lower the mintage and sell until they are gone. I was lucky enough to grab Hawaii before the sell out but would have been peed-off beyond belief if, as a collector, I went to buy the coin and the mint randomly decided to close shop on me.

If sales slow to a trickle, you can't blame them for moving on tho the next thing. Otherwise they'd be just waiting in case someone decides to buy one. That wouldn't make sense.

Looks to me like they will make the 25,000 as promised.
    Lots of stackers out there.

Then why can I still purchase a 2012 Platinum Eagle and the 2012 First Spouse coins that sell single digits per week straight from mint? I don't buy that explanation.

The 2010's were the only year to reach the mint's posted limit. Most of the others sold out around the 17,000 range. Arcadia, Hawaii, and Denali sold out at around 15,000 which counts for 3 out of 4 that I'm missing. I wouldn't count on any of them making the 25,000 mark.

With the price of silver expected to stay in the range of $17-$23 for the rest of the year, I'm thinking that sales will diminish to a trickle. I'm in for all of them and hope the two latest ones go to lower mintages.
