Just wondering if anybody has plans to purchase this. It seems like this balloon is almost out of air, or maybe it is just a bad reading on my part.

Never dabbled with these......and I see no reason to begin.

Might kick myself in the pants, though, down the road.........

I'm kinda in the same boat... I haven't gotten any of them yet, but I wonder whether I should. I'd consider the 5oz bullion version simply if they can be found with not too much of a premium, they would after all be 5oz of silver at the least.

Yep, have them all. Even if they weren't awesome, I'd buy them simply because so few are.

I have bought one of each the past two years to collect them as a series. With a low mintage, and another ten years left in the series, you never know if/when they will catch on. Apparently I am the only person on the plant that didn't think Hawaii was anything special, yet they are selling 3-4x cost, so you never know.

No; you are not the only person on the planet. I didn't purchase it either because, to me, the design looked like somebody sneezed on a silver plate.

Anyway, I don't feel badly about it because I like them for the designs and not for speculative value. I think the Hawaii coin is no longer the lowest mintage of this series, so things may change in its value, but who really knows in this hobby?

I'm getting the bullion version. It's on order and hopefully will be shipping soon!! I really don't think the design looks like someone sneezed on silver plate lol but to each his own :)

Just use your imagination. That is definitely the result of a major sneeze.

    Howdy,

I just started with the bullion versions and am going after places I've been. My mom had a silver spoon collection from around the world - why not some pucks for me?

Haven't gotten my head around the mint versions but that seems to be where the money is but hey, you need to decide which is going to go off like Hawaii and which is going to be a rat like Vicksburg. What might be worth a play is go with the name brand places - Yellowstone. That means that Mt. Rushmore is the darling this year.

    Thoughts?

    peace,

Vicksburg a rat? Only if you think of the garrison at Vicksburg consuming such in desperation, Hot fight, turning point in the Civil War, coupled with Gettysburg.........
