up less than 2% isn't exactly what I would call being "up big," but every point helps :)

It's a conspiracy by the Mint to justify jacking up the price of the upcoming Reverse Proof Gold Buffalo.

When I posted this, I thought that it would be just a teaser on how much gold and silver was going to go up, but this leads me to believe that we may have a major up swing this week. Not sure why to be honest, I understand natural disaster tend to affect the market, but if anyone knows why such a big jump today, I would love to hear why.

It's mostly technical buying because $1300 breached. Careful.

If you are such a professional at investing you have to ask?

I'm not a professional, so can you explain it to me?

because he doesn't know either and just wanted to make a rude remark instead of helping out. I would not have asked if I knew so how about you grow some manners edit - forum rules - uss656

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

I don't think that you wanted to open this can of worms.

So its a can of worms because I asked a question and he chose to say that I knew it all why am I asking, yea that makes sense?? Still have not gotten a answer, are people on this site bored and just feel like cyber bullying rather then keeping it friendly and helping others? I do not deserve his smart remark on this topic. I did not say anything that earned that remark.

I'm going to start reporting ignorant people, lets the jerks keep it up, and I can see how tough it must be on the mods to deal with people who can not keep it friendly. Its ashame.

Well this thread started out good. It remains to be seen what takes place. I think it's due time for a rebound.

It did start out nice, but for some reason there are a couple guys who just don't care for anything I post and never contribute, only rip people or say something smart. On your point, this week should be on a upswing I am thinking. The dollar weakening is part of it, so I wonder how this will work out this week.

Well I for one am unhappy about today's rise.. and hope to see a fall the rest of the week. A steady 17/oz for the next few years would make me happy :D

Keep it friendly - Everyone, if you don't like something, report it and let us deal with it! You are both out of line, so I can lock the thread or you can stick to the topic without taking shots at each other.

I don't believe it was intended to be a rude remark, but rather a valid question since you seem to be the professional at marketing on eBay and espouse so much of your knowledge herein. Anyone who really studies how the markets work can understand fairly basic terminology and know what technicals, short sells etc are in the marketplace - well except my high school economics teacher - he couldn't figure it out but his eyes were busy wandering down teenage girls' blouses.

Technicals - just a way of saying the buying and selling is based mostly upon math, statistics, charts, etc. Investment houses, traders, etc. Usually a short term play. Read daily articles on Kitco, you'll learn more there, a place to start at least.
