I assure you, that there was no maliciousness in my posts towards them. How you choose to interpret the meaning of 'lazy' is entirely your take. Though you should be aware that I take your comments as a mischaracterization and misdirected critique. What prevents all of this is simply fixing ones punctuation. The slightest effort can rectify sloppy posts given the range of computing tools no matter what device is employed nor skill level we have to use them.
I want to buy some gold, but not yet, I am waiting for gold to come down some more to maximize the value as much as possible. Its still way to high for me to get some right now.
The gold dollar is a 1850 O but ex jewelry, bought it from my favorite old man coin dealer so priceless.
So many are it doesn't stop me if its the right coin as long as its not drilled tried to buy an 1801 $5 ex jewelry a few months ago underbid it I doubt anyone here would say no to a coin like that jewelry or no
Agreed! Nice collection there mill rat! I like deep toning on the 1859 Eagle. It's cool to see a CAC on an old green label PCGS slab, too.
Thankyou, gold CAC at that too. The 1859 is my only foray into the older no motto types. These coins are kinda funny - low mintages, low survival rates, yet sell for only a few bucks more than the generics. I guess that since so few attempt a date/mint set of Liberty $10, the prices are depressed compared to their rarity. This coin looks lightly cleaned to me, yet NGC gave it the old "silent net grade". Way too much meat left for AU50.
Here's a couple of mine, always glad for the opportunity too show them off. Just as an fyi, I won the classic gold 1836 in a contest right here on CT that was given by the Lost Dutchman a few years ago.
