I've been collecting since the 1960s the only thing available were albums, it's sad that you feel that way I would never criticize the way a person collects IMHO

 

I was flipping channels and caught a few seconds of Coin Vault. The are selling this set in OGP for $229.95 + $9.95 shipping. $100 or 71% gross profit...to hold the coins for what a couple weeks? WOW...that's insane!

 

I doubt Mike was criticizing the way you collect but rather was cautioning on the inevitable. Tell ya what though......I've got some nice toning going on in my eagle Dansco.

 

I could be wrong but I got the impression that Aramark runs the mint gift shop and are the actual seller of the coins, as opposed to the actual US Mint. My CC says Aramark, not US mint. I think these sets were allocated to aramark and are already included in the mintage numbers. In any case, I agree with you, it is kind of ridiculous, especially if they arrive in three days as promised, yet my mint order is on three month back order. They have some sets left; I know some people have ordered from the gift shops then cancelled their mint order, which, depending on how they look, is something I may do.

 

Interesting. If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge you for them?

 

Mint Price - $139. Two sets plus three day fedex came to $280.

 

Wait, the shipping cost was less than if you bought direct from the mint, $2? Good for you, considering they're selling on ebay for $189 raw, that's a deal if you missed it.

If you don't like your coins, you can return them and get a coupon for dinner for four at any stadium concession stand in America.

I ordered a set from Goldmart on May 29th and recently emailed them regarding delivery. They told me my set was Qued(?) to be shipped on the 12th of July. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

 

Thanks. I emailed about a week ago, asking for status and to request the mint packaging, but haven't heard back.

The Mint Packaging comes with it! Any purchase of these graded sets comes with the OGP.

 

The TPG"s learned the hard way about mint packaging from the 2009 UHR gold coin. They accepted sealed mint boxes for grading and did not send the original packaging back with the coin. They wanted $10 (?) extra to do that. Since the slab no longer fit the display case, they had to get rid of a lot of unwanted packaging. They did not explain this procedure very well and many complained since their original paperwork and all went missing.

 

Good news today. My 3:30 PM eastern order shipping date moved from 8/9 to 7/19.

 

Mine finally moved from backordered expected to ship 7/19 to in stock and reserved with cancel button gone...CC charged!

 

Just out of curiosity, what time was your order?

 

My order says 1:22pm, although, I thought I was ordering at 12:22pm. I'm from Chicago. It went from 6/17 to 7/11 to 7/19. Now it just says 'in stock & reserved."
