2013 West Point ASE set

Thought I'd do my part for a lower mintage number and canceled my Mint orders...sorry, no unwrapping this year.

I recall you mentioning earlier in the thread you were out...so I wasn't expecting one...but I did appreciate the others.

 

The Coin Vault prices are usually high. I watch just for info but last night I bought 1 set of PCGS First Releases MS/PF70 $299.95. My mint ship date is 7/19. If the push it back again, I might cancel my order.

 

Well, I sold my set from Silvertowne for $250 (PCGS MS/PF69 FIRST STRIKE). Walked away with $30 after all fees.

Back down to 1 Silver Eagle.

The mint pushed my date from 8/8 to 8/9 today. At the rate they keep pushing my order back, I'd be lucky to get it by Christmas. I think I will just buy a graded 70 set and give my OGP to my father-in-law like I did last year. Patience isn't a virtue of mine.

 

Good news! Should have my set today. FedEx is still showing "projected delivery 7/5" but the USPS shows it's out for delivery! Woot!

 

Mine were delivered yesterday. But they're with a neighbor since no one was home to sign.
I have a PCGS-70FS set in the eagle label coming from Modern Coin Wholesale, shipped today.

 

Same here. The mint has their backward momentum going at full speed. We as collector's, must be at the bottom of their list. This is one reason I no longer buy any circulation or commemorative coin issues.

 

Do you know where else they're selling the PCGS 70/FS WP Set for less than $300? So far, Silvertowne, Goldmart, Modern Coin Wholesale are all out of stock?

 

I'm sad. I got my results from NGC, 4-PF69 and 4-SP70. Not 1 set....doh!!!!

 

I spoke to a customer service rep yesterday and I told her that not only were a lot of people that I know canceling orders due to the early bulk deliveries, but that it was a growing concern that we were going to get what the bulk deliveries returned.

She said she'd pass that on. I think that they need to pay attention this time. I am going to be inspecting my set with a more critical eye than any I have ever received. I know that I am not the only one.

 

Here are mine finally in-hand. All "marks" are on the holders (I need to do more pre-cleaning before photos)... Look pretty nice to me!

I am kicking myself for waiting so late to order my set.

 

I ordered the 2nd day and mine have been pushed all over the place. Right now they're listed as 8/9.

 

I went onto the US Postal Service website today and plugged in my tracking # from the US Mint. The USPS site indicated that it just received shipping info today even though the US Mint indicated it shipped on 6/28/2013? Did anyone else get this?

I hope it hasn't been sitting around for a week before and still hasn't actually shipped!! That would be very irritating as I was hoping I would maybe get it today or this weekend!! Also want to say I love the look of the updated website!!!

 

Mine took quite a while to show up on tracking, and they said it was to deliver today, but I got it Wednesday. Also, it tracks via FedEx - are you using their site?

 

Thanks for the help!! Checked FedEx and it shows it's in my area today!!! Doesn't show out for delivery yet but at least it's in the general vicinity!!! Woohoo!!!

 

The mint ships via FedEx Smart Post. FedEx gets the package to your local post office then the USPS takes over. USPS tracking begins when they get the package.

 

I ordered mine on the third day, well shortly after midnight on the 12th. I look today and it says backordered, expected to ship on 9/17. I then got jumpy and decided I wanted a second set and ordered it on the 5th of June. guess what its expected ship date it? if you guessed 9/17 you are correct.
what the heck gives here folks?

Mine were finally delivered today. They all look really nice. They are definitely not someone else's rejects.
