You said the president responded, who is the president? Also this is a forum to discuss topics, there is nothing that is said to have a legal situation arise. I stated a obvious point, there is nothing said that downs this company, just stated the truth about a selling technique they used to help sell their product, hopefully the president is not that thin skinned.

 

Hope that president is not that thin skinned that he can have a topic about his company being spoken about, nothing was said that is out of line, just stated the company uses a certain selling technique to make it easier to buy as a flat price, nothing was said to down that company.

 

Actually I just finished reading through the postings I refered to. The president is John Maben. Do a google search on him and the thread may come up. Actually the OP in the other thread was complaining and the company made it right.

Read it, and surprised the president of a big company would go to that extent especially with a teen. This was interesting to read.

 

I didn't make a judgment as I have no interest in the company. I just know that companies have had legal interaction with members, demanding they withdraw certain statement, etc. by pm or email. What is posted remains in internet history for a long time, so if you were doing as you say, discussing techniques that various companies use, why use any names at all?

 

As a example, there is nothing in anything I said that bad mouthed this company, all that was stated that they were using a very common retail technique to make it seem like the shipping was free. Charge more and make the shipping seem free was what I was speaking about. That's a very normal practice. Just stated that their pricing was nothing special based on the free shipping.

 

I wouldn't worry about. There's nothing controversial in this thread.

I noticed a similar pattern in their posting habits, and I also noticed Tim doesn't respond in the SCFY threads.

That all said, why are you posting a thread entirely dedicated to complaining about how a company chooses to price their items? Many companies follow the same policies. Is there a reason you chose to pick on this one?
