Hope someone can help me, I have a coin but can't find it anywhere on the net!

The coin is Queen Elizabeth II 80th Birthday one pound coin 2006! On the coin it has the Queens head on both side, one young profile on front and an old Queen profile on the back, it also say's one pound on it but the attached paperwork say's Gibraltar Sovereign, it also says on the back: 80 glorious years!

I have looked everywhere on the net to find this coin and get an idea of it's value, I have found similar coins but they don't have the older Queens head on back!

I have uploaded a couple of photo's in hope that someone can identify the coin and hopefully someone will be able to help me solve this riddle!

    regards

I believe this is a Elizabeth II Gibraltar 1 pound coin or it could possibly be an error coin. Not 100% sure sorry :rollling:

Thanks for your comments thepennyman, don't suppose you could advise where to go from here?

I would next contact Stephen R Allen at Westminster. Send him the questions you have about the coins history and background. There is a snail mail address and an email contact form on the internet.
