I havent been at this very long but from what ive seen, PM beats APMEX on both pricing and shipping when it comes to common date ASEs. So does JM Bullion and I'm sure others as well. Why do so many folks turn to APMEX?

    Hi Silver,

I cannot find the thread right now but it dealt with the opinions of which online bullion seller was best. Both Apmex and Pm was favored but I went with Silvertowne because of the free shipping. They had what I wanted and the free shipping made it the best deal around for my lastest bullion buy and yes they had the ASE coins as well. Check them out.

I don't just buy ASEs, and APMEX usually has the coins I want. I've had a hard time finding them elsewhere at any price.

An example: I've been searching for weeks for some affordable 1/2 ounce .999 silver bullion coins. I have not found them anywhere for less than $20 apiece except on APMEX. I bought 1/2 ounce Fiji Takus from APMEX a few days ago for around $15 apiece.

That makes good sense and I would do the same to secure the right bullion.

I recently used modern coin mart. Their prices are a bit higher but free shipping makes the total cheaper than apmex

I usually can't find any better place than http://www.gainesvillecoins.com/ I have had very good luck and their prices seem to always be the best. Shipping is in the middle of the two others. Shipping price points from $0-$499, $500-$1499, and $1500+. I always shop around at PM, APMEX, and MCM to compare.

  10. I would say that is generally true but it wasn't for a couple days a week ago. APMEX seems to have great customer service, fast shipping and a wider selection so people may being buying ASEs along with other coins like 10 oz. Lunars or Older Pandas. I have ordered from both and so far so good with both.

APMEX also has several listings on ebay that seem to update pricing similar to the website. It looks like shipping was a little cheaper to go through ebay, but I have not looked in depth.

I buy from APMEX for things nobody else has. Somali elephants, platinum bars. Otherwise I go with Provident every time. Although if I am already buying from APMEX I might throw in a little something extra to take the sting off their shipping.

That is an Aussie silver crux as your avatar pic, right? Did you buy that at APMEX? I saw those a while back and have wanted one ever since.

Provident has 1/2 oz .999 coins for starting at 12.05 and as low as 11.65 if bought in quantity.

Their prices seem ok,,but i don't want to spend over a grand just to do a wire,,checks are held for 10 days,,no mention of price for checks.
