No logic, just the mint’s floundering effort to maximize it’s profit.

The Mint and logic don't like each other.

Last years max was also 25,000 but they only made apx 14,800-17,000.

JMO...the bullion version can't touch the collectors version.

I did order 1 today, as I will on the other 4. Keeping them sealed, unopened, and FS/ER eligible.
    Order # 41558XXX

    Apples and oranges.

Ampex has the bullion at $142 plus s/h, they DO NOT have any "collectors P-Pucks" online yet. When they do they will cost more than from the Mint, I promise.

  6. I am going to buy the bullion version now before they sell out. I am going to buy the collector version as soon as the price drops. ;) TC

Think it will? What price are you waiting for?

Yeah, I don’t know with the mint, really can’t use sound business since to predict what they’ll do. If they can sell more in light of the lower PoS, they should mint them to demand, as they do with the ASE’s, which maximizes their profit. But, I could see them “shooting themselves in the foot”, by making a low mintage and ending sales early.

  11. I am going to simultaneously watch weekly sales reports of these and the spot price of silver at least up until the next ATB release. If sales starts pushing the limit, I will buy it right away. If spot silver drops and the mint reprices, I will then buy. No need to rush into these. Can combine shipping as well if you wait. Yeah, maybe. But, I don’t know, PoS is pretty low (may go higher) and it looks like the mint has a new higher markup. Another downside of waiting is what I experienced with Chaco, had to return it 3 times. With that kind of luck, it appeared I was receiving previous returns.

Thanks, TC. I like that strategy.

With the $180 price point, I think they may sell 25k of them.

I ordered a number of the White Mountain bullion coins from APMEX yesterday during the dip. Very good price!

I figure the ATB 5 oz coins are better than 10 oz silver bars for serious stacking as long as you can get them at the same price per ounce. I'm guessing they will be easier to move if you want to cash in.

Mine is due to arrive at my door site tomorrow. I also bought the silver proof set just prior to them reducing the price by $5. Oh well, I guess that I'll give up beer for a night to make up for it.

Mine arrived yesterday, but it's going back for a replacement because there were at least 5 areas on the coin that were either damaged or had something stuck to them. QC on this coin was an absolute failure. Hope no one here gets it!

Yikes... that's good to know. Should get mine Tues. The ASE Silver proof coin I recently received from them looks pristine. Hope I don't get one like yours.
