Is this their new medallion? If you look on their website they have posted the name and a blurred image of the medallion. Looks a lot like this American_Redoubt_Coin.jpg ,,,, no?

It's not a coin but rather a token or a medal.......

Redoubt? Uh, isn't it spelled Debut? Talk about major marketing error.

Since you're new here, I have to ask, "Do you work for this company?"

No. If I did, I would not encourage them to release the medallion I posted above. To me, it isn't as appealing as their other medallions. It may not be the medallion to be released on the 15th.

Anyway, does it not look like the blurred version on their site?

I've never visited their site since these medals? medallions? tokens? don't interest me.

Truth be told, I am into silver for the investment. I buy junk silver. Not the 90% stuff, just silver, and only a small portion of my retirement funds. However, I do find their Slave Queen and Freedom girl to be a bit appealing to the eye. My financial brain is telling me don't pay anywhere near the amount their medallions go for above spot while the consumer brain is yelling to buy Freedom and Slave. It would be my first silver purchase where I actually cared what I was buying and first time paying more then $1 over spot.

Somehow I got intrigued with the whole SBSS fiasco with production, shipping and shut down problems that I have been following the ordeals.

All that said, I have been looking into buying some numismatic coins.

They wont get another penny from me. Probably the worst customer service I have ever seen. Buger King has better.

To be honest, it really sounds like you're "stumping" for them.

I prefer older silver medals, as in 19th century, from many of the French & Low Country masters. I accumulated about 500 ozs. when silver was below $6, but the interest is not in the value as much as it is the history that these medalists etched into the designs with such great detail. I guess you could say that these modern doodads may have some historical import 150 years or so from now, but of course, we won't be around to talk about them.

    lol.

Not sure how I could prove that I have no connection with SBSS and own none of their product. I guess I could scan my EIN and corporate tax filings, but that would not be wise to post on a public forum. I guess I could take a picture of my collection and you would see that it is just a pile of crap bullions.

Any event, over the years I have learned that there is very little one can do to prove this or that in public forums. So I have come to accept it for what it is.

Okay, that's cool! You'll have to excuse my skepticism because we get that kind of stuff here from time to time. Some of the hucksters think they're smarter than everyone else and can outwit us, but it usually fails in the end.

By the way, in case you haven't noticed, the overwhelming response to your initial post probably indicates that many don't really care.

No reason to excuse you, skepticism has saved a lot of people a TON of money.

Great point. The little research I have done on Chris Duane, the more I am not comfortable with him and his "organization". His website/newsletter scares me. The amount of shekels he is asking for his Silver Shield Report is high to say the least.

His beliefs are quite questionable too.
