this is the info i was givin "I have a 1981 A mark fine 1oz silver bar it is a key date most were melted down over the years I woul trade you they are very rare and alot more valuable then silver weight one sold for 275 at an auction in town here last year it is the first stackable ingot that A Mark ever made and realy neat let me know if interested!!!" where does the info about key date and most were melted info come from
That is the silliest thing I have ever read. Don't even bother negotiating with the seller. Not worth your time.
What does he want you to trade him, and is this a craigslist offer? Do yourself a favor and suggest a special place where this guy can put his "very rare" item.
I would ask him to supply you that information, not us. I think it's his personal opinion/assumption, so to ask is not out of order. Are they serial numbered so you could identify his bar and total production?
KEY DATE!!!!! Whatevah. Seems like veryone's got a hype angle; the ATB puck guys may the worst. Dont get hustled.
I don't recall seeing other dates on them. 1981 is the most common. If there were a key date it wouldn't be 1981.
