Im trying to decided what to buy. I have 17 of the 2013 RCM Water Buffalo. I really like the 1.5 oz Polar Bear but iI am not in love with the markup. Kooks are my next choice. What is everyone buying during the dip?
The 10oz bar is nice, I do not invest in bars, How hard is that to resell? @SilverForLife, I am referring to the Canadian Water Buffalo. I'm really not a fan of the Chinese Panda's. I have few of the lower mintage Pandas. I worry about Chinese counterfeits.
I've never had any issues but never really sell them unless them trading or buying other rounds or bars. With all of the big metals companies its not hard to sell anything if you're willing to ship it.
I'm guessing he means the 2013 RCM Wood Bison. If so, I have a bunch of those and think they look great. Don't recall seeing any obvious flaws on the Bison side (which I found impressive). I'd like to get some 1.5 oz Polar Bears, but, the markup has kept me from buying. I should get some 2013 RCM Antelope before those eventually sell out.
Yes thanks I meant Wood Bison! Sorry for the confusion. I buy from APMEX, Provident, Mintproducts. I read about the flow of Chinese fakes. I'm not keen on the panda, they mint so many of them now.
OK, I now understand. I was hoping they made a new different bullion coin that I did not know of. I never saw a Water Buffalo in Canada before. The Canadian Wood Bison are neat and I have only two.:hail:
I have the same fear about Chinese Silver Panda counterfeits and only buy one per year from a major seller like APMEX or Provident. I NEVER buy Chinese Silver Panda on ebay nor any silver coins from any China dealers. Too much rish for me.
I think from those choices I would go with the polar bear. pandas are nice but have a huge premium. buy what you like NOT what everyone else buys. buying what you like is the key to enjoying them more.
The older 4 Wild Life Coins were pretty much sold out at ApMex, but, they still had the "gilded" versions... so, I paid the hefty price and got those (minus the gilded Wood Bison since they didn't have that). Pretty coins! Now I see ApMex has the 4 older Wild Life Coins back in stock again... at a large markup. Debating whether to pay the premium and snag some of those. I will get some Antelopes hopefully before they become last year's model and get marked up.
Howdy, I've been buying the annual issues right along and will continue. Been collecting most of the regular stuff - danso for maple leafs and libertads although neither complete. Already bought the new panda and brit and what not. For the pullback, such that it is, I'll probably get some more hockey pucks. I'm just buying the plain versions and not the mint issued varieties and heretofore have been going with places that I've actually been to. You can get some of them around $160 right now. peace, rono
2013 Kooks!!! I bought quite a few of them. They are beautiful and are proof like. Just shop around for the best deal. I am Canadian but have to be honest, the Maples don't excite me at all. After my first couple tubes of maples I started buying ASE because that white finish is gorgeous!!!
Don't be so hard on the Maples.:thumb: This Yank likes them, but I love the Canadian Wildlife Series even more. Sad they are ending.
