In order to combat falling precious metal prices, I have decided to sell all my precious metals in order to purchase BitCoins. I decided this would be the best way to secure my wealth. Inflation is taking an enormous toll on the purchasing power of our money. I decided I had enough and needed to take charge. It may have taken a while but I came to a realization that there is no way to compete with the future. Physical precious metals are not money. This isn't 3,000 years ago. This is the present time where digital currencies are real money. I know many of you may disagree with this decision but please read all the reasons for leaving precious metals and converting into BitCoins before you comment.

Digital Currencies are the future. Precious metals were so last century.
Banks and governments can't manipulate digital currencies.
The value of precious metals can fall to zero, Bitcoins can't.
Precious metals take up too much space. BitCoins require a small hard drive.
BitCoins have not met their fair market value even though it is 10x the price as it was a few months ago.
Precious metals don't do anything. It costs to store them.
Precious metals can't be created, BitCoins can.

I hope you all respect my decision. Have a wonderful April Fools Day.

What a coincidence. I just converted all my Bitcoins and precious metals to invest in rolls of presidential dollars. They take up a lot of space but on the long run it seems like a good idea.

You can't send presidential dollars instantaneously to the other side of the world, with BitCoins you can.

True, however, you can't stack BitCoins one atop another whereas with presidential dollars you can. Doesn't that sound like fun? Sure it may take a while but at least you can appear to look rich. Just look at how many the Federal Reserve bank has lying around. Now that's what I need in my life.

I'm not gonna lie, I read the first paragraph and almost had a heart attack. Oblivious to the date, I could easily have been the first 19 year old to die of a massive heart attack- possibly also the first documented death associated with BitCoin.

i am pretty new to the forums, i enjoy reading and learning, and very rarely comment. every year i await my mother or wife trying to pull an april fools day prank on me. i just sat down on the couch to think i had escaped an april 1st prank for the first time in my entire life. i started reading this, and i didn't think "joke" or "prank", i thought of it as some form of sales pitch.....i tip my cap to you sir. well played.
