I missed the initial offering but picked up a few at a premium on feebay~ Also just recieved my free copper Debt & Death round as well as my Slave Queen proofs and Freedom girl BU's. They should be resuming orders in a few days as well as announcing the next release very soon... I can't recall all of the details but they have teamed up with a best selling author on the next release.

Nah, I'm going to wait a few years for them to be in dealers' junk bins.

If I'm going to buy a round and not a government coin it needs to be a lot closer to spot. Smells like dragons to me.

Why? Not really. Lots of "Silver Bullet Silver Shield, Debt And Death" rounds selling now for $71.-80./ea. NO SHORTAGE there chief! (Ignore the BIN $215.-450. hype!)
Original mintage was 50,000 (according to AOCSMint email) ; other sources said 64,000 possible. Chris reported the "2012" final mintage was 53,427: I believe that # includes the rejects (returned & remelted, etc.) but not sure.

The Debt & Death rounds are popular. The premium you're paying now is fair, market-price, it's really not "crazy."
By comparsion, a few 'collectible' Norfeds (a very dicey contraband) still selling for >~$USD ~100. and up (way down from the $400.-1,200. range.) By design those coins are cruder, uglier too.

Maybe someone better informed can comment on the D&D data here. 2 varieties??

    Mintage Counts
    1 Hard Strike 20
    2 Soft Strike 100
    3 SBS -s oil est? 300
    4 SBS -s Clean est? 560
    5 Regular oil est? 3,000
    6 Regular/Proof 41,547
    7 BU est? 4,000
8 Wide Reed (Owed and Damaged) 3,900
    Total 53,427

I wonder if the Debt & Death rounds are popular with guys who collect psychedelic Morgans???

Did everyone see this video already? Here is the Mulligan Mint (3 die press machines) pressing out the last Debt & Death coins in late February 2013. I SEE HIPSTERS, lol

I'm interested in the Mulligan Mint. Here is their informative blog (scroll back!!!):
    http://mulliganmint.com/

    Their Mint videos here:
    http://www.youtube.com/user/opencurrency?feature=watch

Mulligan is located @ 13835 Welch Rd, Dallas, TX 75244 (the refinery nearby that supplies them .... Dillon Gage? Central Refining?)

The (international) dealers list is here:
    http://mulliganmint.com/dealers/where-to-buy/

YES they do provide custom coin production (see website)!

The arrival of the Bliss Presses from Providence RI (?):

The three very modern looking (annealing?) machines ... made by???

I presume these Ag coins will have higher premiums and be more profitable to the Mint:
"In May of 2013, M2 will add tenth ounce .999 fine “ParaDIMES” to our production schedule, using our hi-speed knuckle joint presses to mint fractional silver rounds at an unprecedented volume and unbelievably low price. ParaDIMES will be packaged fifty to a paper roll and made available to only our most distinguished Authorized Dealers."

Me too. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get the dang thing. The way these are selling on ebay, I wish I had ordered a few extra to flip.
