I'm looking at buying bullion from an online outfit. Is there a company that has treated you well? Or one who you would never deal with again? I was just hoping to glean from your experiences. Thanks

I've used Gainesville Coins (www.gainesvillecoins.com) a number of times for ASE's with good experiences. I'm not too concerned with specific dates or proofs, so I go with the "dates of their choice" option. Good prices, quick delivery, secure packaging.

I've ordered silver bullion from both Apmex and Provident Metals. Both have been outstanding so far, no complaints. Provident has great pricing and cheapest shipping I've found online. I've never ordered from Gainesville but I hear good things.

Best customer services I've dealt with is Scottsdale Silver. Very quick shipping and always avail to answer emails or calls even late at night they will respond I an email very quickly. Also their prices are good too.

below is a list of sites I've had good dealings with that have reasonable prices but limited variety:
    Goldmart
    Silvertowne
    Gainesville Coins
    Golden Eagle Coins
    golddealer.com (CNI)
    tulvig
APMEX has them all beat when it comes to inventory variety, but the prices are not the best, and their shipping costs are higher . . . unless you go through their ebay store.

Gainesville Coins and Provident are my favorites.
I've purchased both online and in person at shows from them.

Well heck. I ended up ordering from liberty and JCS. They were both easy enough but then again all they did was take my money so far. Hopefully it all works out well enough.

I have ordered from Apmex, Gainesville and Provident. All are reliable (IMO), but I like Gainesville the best. One of the reasons is that the prices of their ASEs are directly indexed to the price of silver. You can see it change during the day. At least makes me feel like I am getting a fair price, and so far I think their prices have been better than APMEX, which seems to be more expensive lately. Gainesville shipping is a bit higher than Provident, but it probably nets out since Provident seems to be a little bit more expensive.

Good luck in your purchases, hope it all works out well. By the way, if you order from Gainesville, expect to receive a package labeled something like "Mike and Bill's Plumbing Supplies". I almost returned it to sender thinking "I didnt order any plumbing supplies", then it dawned on me and I opened the box...

    Have a great day!

Apmex, the most business-like website and system IMO. I wonder how they deal with all the tornados out there....

I like Goldmart and Provident, Apmex wants too much. also Westminster mint for silver. good prices and lots of dirrerent rounds. they make a really nice 5oz & 10oz bar with serial #.

I use provident. I wouldn't use Goldmart if my life depended on it. They still owe me around 2300.00..been waiting for weeks for a refund (they agreed to give me a refund about 2 weeks ago or so) on an order i placed 26 December 2012. They refunded about 3.5k of the order but haven't refunded the rest yet.

Edit: I will be doing a review of a few of the bullion dealers shortly. Just waiting for my refund to be received as they made me call them back and hear the owner scream at me for the BBB complaint i made (they advertise they are BBB accredited on their website..they aren't). They eluded to me not getting my refund until the claim was changed or dropped, I refused but like I said they only refunded part of my money so far when they agreed to give me a full refund.

Why not ask about the places you plan to order from?

I didnt have plans on where to order from exactly. I price shopped for what pieces I needed than checked and made sure nobody had anything bad to say about them. I may use someone different next time and I appreciate the input.

Essentially, asking for best/worst companies will end up being best companies, since it would essentially violate forum rules to post things negative about businesses...

That sure could change the way I look at this. What about a dealer who is "less preffered"? Thanks everyone for the insight.
