lol yea, I thought so myself and I don't even drink anymore... They are made by the Sunshine Minting Company. I couldn't find any info on the year, definitely not recent though.
year of the snake privy mark. cool. Today at my coin shop I just pick up a 2012 no privy mark silver maple leaf 1 oz'er. i decided i am gonna get either a 1 oz. maple leaf or a american silver eagles every pay check. I am gonna hoard/become a silver stacker. :hail: P.S. I also saw that my coin dealer got in 2 10 oz'er Johnson Mathey bars and 1 10 oz'er scatsdale with the crowned lion design. I am determined to save up 10 silver rounds to trade for a 10 oz bar.
They ran out of maple leafs at my shop. But I did get an 86 eagle with a little tone at spot. Not many places to go in my area so I stick with coins for now.
A couple of silver art bars that I bought today on the 1st day of the TSNS coin show: Bar # 1: It is a 1974 Madison Mint "83rd A.N.A. Florida" silver art bar. I paid $35.00 for it (spot silver was $28.58/oz). Bar #2: It is a "10th Anniversary America in Space" silver art bar. It is a sterling silver (.925 purity) silver art bar that was minted in 1971 by Franklin Mint. The weight of this bar is 1000 grains (2.08 troy oz's ---> ~1.93 troy oz's equivalent .999 pure silver). Currently, this is the only sterling silver art bar that I have in my entire silver art bar collection. I paid $60.00 for this bar (Actual silver bullion value for this bar = $55.16). I usually do not buy sterling silver art bars but I made an exception here because 1.) I do not have a Franklin Mint art bar in my collection and 2.) I like this particular theme on this bar and this is the first time that I have seen this particular Franklin Mint bar.
Love that 10th Anniversary in Space bar! The Franklin Mint made some surprisingly nice precious medal stuff commemorating the space program.
