That's pretty freakin' sweet! I love Pawn Stars...did you friend say how much he paid? Wait, found it...they have their own Ebay Store. $65 isn't too bad I price I guess, it's a nice round http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pawn-Stars-...946?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7c9d41ca
It is neat, but I wouldn't buy one because there is not an attractive feminine visage on it and my cheapskate heart thinks the price is a wee bit north of what I care for.
Being a fan of the show myself I wouldn't mind one, but the premium is too high for me. I rather spend a few more bucks and buy 2 ASE's.
They made those out of a huge bar they bought when silver was peaking and apparently haven't dropped their price to reflect the current spot price.
That chick they have working the nightshift with Chumlee would look a lot better on the rounds than the old man. Sans the tattoos though.
Apparently she got fired from the show (by the History Channel) when they discovered she was a model for some online site. She did an "Ask Me Anything" on Reddit a few weeks back and mentioned it and was trying to get the users to try and "petition" to get her re-hired... Seemed like Rick and the crew didn't have a problem with her extra-curricular activities...
This is my feeling too. They are neat and it's a fun show...but the premium is WAY too high. Those guys are making enough money as it is. Once the show is over and forgotten...they will be worth melt. 2 ASEs for me.
As a gift to someone who loves the show, giving them something that will at least always be worth melt is better than giving them some piece of crud that will get tossed or placed in a garage sale in a few years. So, in that light, its not horrible. For a numismatist, though, I agree buy a real coin not a silver round that someone will come here on CT 30 years from now and ask if anyone has ever heard of this "thing". Two completely different reasons to buy. Recap, as a fun gift to someone, yes. As an item for a coin collector to buy, no.
she is a model on a site called suicide girls. she was on the site way before she worked at the pawn shop. the members of the site started the petition. she did get her job back but just will not be on the show.
My cousin's step daughter was on that site. Problem with that site is they refuse to take pics down after the contract is over. Her issue was even worst, since her signature was forged and she never agreed to be on there at all, so she had to file suit to get them removed. Anyway, my point is maybe she didn't even WANT to be there, but the site still had pics of her up illegally. I am just saying it happens with that site from what I have heard.
I'll pass also. I have a set of 12 nude art models that look much better than the old man. Pure silver, too!
I didn't know Olivia was on some picture site - I only knew her from seeing her on the show. She has sort of a "naughty librarian" look to her - maybe it is the glasses. And quite frankly I don't care if she is on some picture site, I just wanna see her instead of Chumlee or Corey.
I can't say that I am crazy about her look, but she is much better eye candy then looking at any of the Harrisons or Chumlee without a doubt.
That's the site - I couldn't think of the name. I am glad she didn't end up losing her job - certainly nothing to cause her to lose her job. As for the Old Man Coins, I remember when they had them made. My family watches this show every week - I made a point to tell them not to get me one of these - while I like the show, I knew the price for one of these was way more than I wanted them to spend on anything like this...I certainly wouldn't get that amount of value or enjoyment out of it.
