I picked up a 10 Ounce Bar the Other day when Precious Metals took that 1 day dive, Im really beginning to Enjoy Silvertowne's Service. NO CC fee's, Free shipping on OEM bars.. $33.40 shipped via UPS Ground seems rather reasonable to me. I was Leary at first as to how Silvertown bars would sell on the Market but according to Ebay it seems they tend to hold there own based off Past sales.

I picked these 1 oz rounds up for my co-workers Christmas presents. All of them came with the gift box. One of the ladies in my office has a baby due in December.

An almost craigslist like site, one of those XXXXXXanytownyardsale.com sites. He was selling Morgans for $28 so i inquired and he had another listing for some coins called walking liberty 1 oz dollars for $25. Said the years were from 2001-2011. Apparently he didnt really understand what he had, but he knew they were 1oz silver and silver was $32 per ounce. I guess he just didnt know how in demand silver is for market price and put a pricetag on them to move. I was the lucky individual to get my hands on some. My father and I split 20 of them he got 12 and i got 8.

I actually have one I am interested in trading for an ASE date that I do not currently have. Just looking for a simple one-to-one trade and to expand my network and build up a rapport as being a good trading buddy.

Overall though.......it was a good day

OK, So I took some photos with my new iPhone 5 today. I was surprised how nice they came out. I did have to adjust the colors, though. And for some reason the coins still look green to me, but when I use the "color picker" and look at the actual numbers the coins are essentially perfect gray so I believe the green is just an illusion due to all the blue in the pictures.

    Some 40% Silver Eisenhowers

    Some American Silver Eagles

    Some 1964 Half Dollars

    Some 1964 quarters.

And although nearly worthless, I still like these:

So . . . do you really look at that coin as bullion?

of course ... it has all the properties of the bullion coin

It is composed of bullion, but you made it clear that you paid a premium because only 3,000 were minted. I think that coin goes beyond what it is made of. Why not post it in the zoo thread instead. I say this because the coin appears to have numismatic value beyond the bullion value and I think you will find some really appreciative CT members on that thread who will appreciate your coin.

Ausie lunar coins - numismatic or bullion?
what should be a premium for the coin to be called not bullion but numismatic?

I don't post it as numismatic as I bought it as a bullion, and for me it is bullion. Get the weight and metal purity sign off the coin and that becomes numismatic in my eyes.
What most people here show as a bullion is not bullion ... like pre 1964 coins ... in classic terms they are not bullion. So?! what those people should do?

  20. I look at it as a bullion coin because I believe it was never intended to be circulated as currency.

I define bullion as J&M and similar bars and normal rounds. Even then, some bars and rounds transcend the bullion realm.
