I was just wondering if anybody was following any interesting new issue bullion coins. It seems we have hit a lull in the cycle and there is not much going on. I am aware of the 2013 kookaburra (doesn't do much for me), the 2013 snake (i recently purchased a proof), the 2012 antelope (I guess I'll get 1 eventually.). Is there anything I am missing or is this just a slow time? Please don't clutter this thread with posts on the future of silver, actions the Fed might take, what causes precious metal prices to go up and down and other such nonsense. I'd like to keep it to a discussion of new coin designs only and which of those might be appealing visually. Thank you.
The 20 for 20 Magical Reindeer. It's awesome, 4 horns and sleigh bells, it's Rudolph just in time for Christmas. /sarcasm http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/20-fine-silver-commemorative-coin-magical-reindeer-2012-prod1530001

The RCM also has their snake issues out, the flower or scallop is really nice IMO. http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/fine-silver-15-coin-year-of-the-snake-2013-prod1520004 I think Singapore Mint and China are next for the lunars. Then, not really sure...
Neat coin. These will make nice Christmas presents. 2013 Somalia Elephant. Price is in euros. http://www.silber-werte.de/en/100-Sh-Elephant-1-oz-Ag-2013
There is definitely a lull right now. I am waiting for Provident to go live with their 2013 snakes and will likely get one along with an antelope as well. I have been buying some proof sliver quarters at close to spot as well. TC
